This man is intelligent!! Just obviously not as much as Sherlock!! He is still a medical professional!!! He is simply not trained in deduction or detective work!!! He knows things Holmes doesn't!!! He is quite emotionally intelligent!! Holmes wouldn't care about him if he wasn't at least interesting and intelligent in some way!! He doesn't even have below average intelligence!! He understands Holmes' science talk most of the time! John is not the average man in London!! He has traveled the world, gained information about many cultures, and is very educated!! Do not make John dumb!! Make the police dumb!! Contrast Sherlock with John by highlighting the fact that Watson is still intelligent - Sherlock is just a freak like that!

bianca was never selfish nor serious , she was an anxiety-stricken little girl. nico is not the only one who was orphaned, who had her mother die in front of her. she was a baby alone in the world who probably just missed her mom and venice. she wanted that acceptance the hunters gave her, the security. do you think her ears perked up when she heard artemis and the hunters were immortal? she would never fear losing them? bianca, twelve year old bianca with a dead mom and her only family a ten year old boy, wanted acceptance and support from other girls. from other ANYBODY. she was never selfish. she was just a sad kid.
one of my favorite subtle implications in the series is that it seems the Titan Army was fully banking on Percy being the host of Kronos. Why else would they make their main base a cruise ship if their primary enemy is a son of Poseidon? Named after Andromeda, the wife of Perseus? Why would they work on Oceanus specifically being free so much? Side notably with other children of Poseidon? Why plant Zeus and Hades' items of power on Percy when Luke already had them? Why only Zeus and Hades' items, not Poseidon's? Well because they really need Percy as Kronos' host, that's why. (and Poseidon siding with them because of that would be a bonus as well)
I like to imagine Luke's cabin on the Princess Andromeda is fully decked out with like "WELCOME PERCY" and sea-themed sheets and everything and he hates it so much cause it's a constant reminder he failed and he was Kronos' second choice. Also then he gets his super special pegasus not even exactly stolen by Percy, but the pegasus willingly defects to be Percy's personal steed instead, which must just be insult to injury. Luke has immense one-sided beef with Percy and Percy has no idea.
can we just talk about how sherlock is SO certain sherlock and john are going to be together even in the afterlife. he’s SO certain that even if he dies, he will see john again.
in the sign of four, there was a dialogue that goes “heaven for me, hell for you”, “but we come as a pair!”, and recently in the empty house, he says “and if he doesn’t make it too, i’ll tell him myself” (him referring to john of course)
be it heaven or hell, or the afterlife, they will still be together. he will still see john again. BECAUSE THEY ARE LITERALLY SOLD AS SET, DO NOT SEPARATE
