21/autistic/ they/them /french/ In recovery for sh /I just post everything that goes through my head, don't look for a coherent theme for this blog Tw: sh ableism
I don't know why but I wanted to do a presentation post, so let's do it. You can call me Raskolnikov I live in France and I am currently studying informatic. I'm probably aromantic and asexual, but I'm not sure yet.
I am autistic, and I suffer from mild depression. I'm also in revovery for self harm. I sometimes talk about ableism and my issues with self-harm on this blog, so be careful if these topics trigger you. Apart from that this blog has no particular theme, just whatever comes to mind.
There will mainly be stuff on autism, feminism, and different works that I like (ace attorney, yu gi oh, or PokĂŠmon, for a non-exhaustive list without being exhaustive). Know that I am the type to become very attached to a character, and that when I say that I like a work it is often a single character that I want to talk about.
Hello, Tumblr. I've never posted here, only lurked. But this is one of the most important things in the world to me, and I honestly need to ask you for help. Please reblog if you can.
This will be a long post. It will be summarized with a TLDR at the end, including ways that you can help.
With over 9,200 pages, we are the biggest collection of gender identities on the Internet, especially the biggest source that is readily available. We are a community that has existed since 2009, and has taken off in terms of growth in the last few years.
Today, Fandom decided to close the Gender Wiki. We were given absolutely no warning, and they've only given us a two-week deadline to move the entire wiki to a new host, which we are utterly unprepared to do. The download would also not include any of the 17,000+ images on the Gender Wiki, many of which do not exist anywhere else on the Internet.
Here is a link to the post Fandom staff gave us today, and a paraphrased summary of it below:
https://gender.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000132176
Fandom staff says that they won't continue to host our wiki because it "spreads harmful misinformation". They believe we have gone too far in "positioning everything as a gender identity", referring to xenogenders. They mention pages with xenogenders referring to suicide/self-harm and violence --- which we, the staff members, were /already/ in the process of deleting before this notice was given to us. They decided that the best solution was not to ask us to delete those pages, or even delete the pages themselves, but instead to remove our entire database.
There are many other wikis on Fandom with much worse references to violence than the Gender Wiki, which Fandom appears to have no problem with whatsoever.
I cannot express enough that this is erasure, and it will absolutely negatively affect the LGBTQ+ community to not have this treasure trove of information readily available.
I am an admin on the Gender Wiki, and I can assure you that our entire staff team is already trying to appeal to Fandom staff. I'll add any updates if they decide to respond to us, but they have no yet given staff any more information than the above
PLEASE help in any way you can. Reblog, spread awareness, or sign this petition if you have a Fandom account, OR sign this petition instead if you don't --- please DON'T sign both, as this causes counting problems & can make the point seem less legitimate. (NOTE added Apr 1: The archiving project is on hold because we've lost the archiving site for an unknown reason. Pages don't Archive correctly. I will update soon with more info.) Archive any Gender Wiki pages, especially ones that don't have pages elsewhere, with the Wayback Machine or alternatively archive.is, or even write posts about them here or on other sites. Archives will be organized on this spreadsheet; please include the archiving site you used so they can be found later. Please help us save this information. It can't possibly be done this quickly without help.
TLDR: Fandom staff decided that, in two weeks, they will close the Gender Wiki, the biggest gender resource on the Internet. They gave us no warning. It will be impossible to save all of the information on the wiki. Please reblog or sign this petition if you have a Fandom account, OR this one if you don't (please don't sign both, it'll cause problems). Help save the data by archiving pages here or here (organized on this spreadsheet). (NOTE added Apr 1: archiving project currently on hold. Archiving sites aren't working.) Help spread awareness. Post about this with #save the gender wiki
Your contribution is greatly appreciated, on behalf of the wiki staff and all users of the Gender Wiki.
Does anyone imagine various scenarios about fictional characters in your head? Especially when listening to music? Iâm not sure if itâs just a âmeâ thing or something else.
This user is claiming that terfs are stupid and that TIMs should be included in female-only spaces since they're "women". I disagreed and provided reasons in an anon ask they gave me. This user then ignored logic and continued to weakly argue with me, even saying that I have more privilege than a TIM, "No you pretend women are men just to keep some privilege"
Be SO fr. TIMs are not the victims; they are the oppressors.
Also, I don't "strategically" ignore TIFs, they're just less of a threat to other womyn, TIMs are a bigger issue, and I have made multiple posts and comments about them before.
Do you know that deleting comments you don't like don't make you right ?
So anyway, since I must repeting myself : trans women are women. Biologist that have studied the subject know that : genetically trans people are similar to their gender not to the gender that was assigned to them at birth (a study among a lot of other). But I will not eleborate on that, because debatting with a transphobes who ignore science and Logic don't interest me.
ERβ plays a key role in human gender differentiation in males and females.
What is more interesting is the "argument" you use to avoid the debat "I don't care about trans people I just want to protect women". I could say that it's a very bad lie since it's very easy to read your blog and see you don't care about women and are just here to attack trans women but that's not the point. The point is that your trying to weaponise feminism to excuse your transphobia and that's despicable. Trans women aren't a threat to other women the only "proof" that transphobes have is a grotesque deformation of a part of a study. All other study show that allowing all women to acceed to women space doesn't increase violence, and there are a lot of proof that law that pretend to "protect cis women" are in fact harmful to all cis women that aren't stereotypically feminine. You know that, all transphobes know that. But you still try to pretend you care about women, not because it's true, not even before you sincerely believe it's true but because it's a strategy. Using the fact that you are a victim, but lying about the threat to attack another group. Racist white women do that to harass black people and immigrant, you do that about trans people. And like these women choose to ignore there are also women of color, you choose to ignore trans men and non binary people because if you acknoledge their existence your discourse doesn't hold.
If you really believe that some women are men show proof of that. If you really believe that these women are dangerous show proof of that. And explain why trans men exist if trans women are just men who pretend to be women to rape other women.
As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
I'm also gonna stop listing the reasons why I recognize something is a scam. It's becoming more and more clear there is 1 person behind this STRING of scams and they're leaving less trails behind but it still reeks of them and their MO.
DO NOT TRUST ANY GOFUNDME OR REQUEST FOR CROWDFUNDING THAT PALESTINIAN BLOGGERS HAVEN'T VERIFIED.
At this point I'm fine receiving a bunch of inbox messages asking me to vet x y z so y'all can avoid this shit. But please have some critical thinking!
Whether you wanna read the whole thing or not idc.
REBLOG IT.
The person this was about deleted the 4th or 5th scam account they made and are definitely gonna make a new one soon. I don't want anybody falling for this anymore.
I fucking hate that the general response to RFK Jr's eugenist take on autistic people is "autistic people do pay taxes, autistic people do work, autistic people do date!"
Some autistic people don't and that shouldn't make them less worthy of life. Some autistic people do need constant help and support and that shouldn't make them less worthy of life.
Once again we're falling in the right wing trap of :
They make a hateful, fascist statement
Instead of focusing on the fact that it is hateful and fascist we try to show them that they are factually wrong
We throw our own allies and the most vulnerable of us under the bus in the process
We legitimise an only slightly less hateful, fascist view as we go
They have completed their goal of making us accept the still hateful, fascist second version, hurrah. What a victory.
Right now what we're getting to with that is that autistic people who can work and pay taxes are okay, and the others aren't. Fuck this shit.
Same thing happens with the people who are being deported ("they have a visa!", "they didn't even have a criminal record!" -> even if they didn't have a visa, even if they did have a criminal record, deporting them and detaining them in what's essentially a concentration camp wouldn't be okay, you absolute tools of fascism.)
What RFK is saying: "Autistic people can't work, so it's our duty as a society to erase autism" -> This is eugenics
Harmful response: "Many autistic people do work!" -> Validates the belief that that someone being unable to work is shameful and makes them a lesser person, and implies that autistic people should not need support
Correct response: "Yes, many autistic people can't work, so it's our duty as a society to make sure they are supported, you fascist asshole" -> Accepts the realities of disability and values the lives of disabled people, names the actual problem here
very funny to me when people act like animal farm and 1984 are revolutionary anti government texts that the Powers That Be dont want you to read when they have literally been a part of every standard middle/highschool english lit cirriculum in the usa and beyond for decades. precisely because theyre such convenient primers to propagandize that Commies = Bad. the government is quite literally making kids read them
also, animal farm is not just anti-communist, but anti-revolution in general. the whole point of the story is if you overthrow your oppressor the new order will just become the same as the one it replaced! the story offers no suggestion of how the animals could have overthrown the farmer without the pigs becoming exactly like them, it just seems to begin and end with "never overthrown your oppressor because you'll end up right back where you started anyways." bleak and ugly story.
Not to be super English major about it, but Animal Farm was NOT an âanti-revolutionâ story. According to Orwell, it was inspired specifically by the Russian Revolution that led to the Stalinist regime. The story of animal farm is essentially what happened to the Russian people: they had a revolution against the tyrannical ruling class, only for the very people who had promised them freedom to turn into tyrants themselves.
The moral of the story is not âdonât have a revolution,â itâs that you should always be suspicious of those who promise you this utopian idea of freedom while still aiming to maintain power. The pigs never wanted to actually make everyone free, they just wanted to be the ones in charge. The novel details every small instance of the farm sliding further and further into fascism until itâs too late for anyone to do anything about it.
And 1984 doesnât have much to do with communism at all. Itâs about totalitarianism and fascism. Thereâs nothing pro-capitalist about the book. A totalitarian government like Big Brotherâs could exist in either a capitalist or communist society. The point is the control they have over their people, and how important the flow of information is to that control.
George Orwell literally risked his life fighting fascists, so I think itâs pretty unfair to reduce his books to âanti-commieâ propaganda. He was intensely critical of any state that maintained too much power over its people, and at the time, one of the worst examples of that was the recent communist revolution in Russia, which deposed a monarchy to install a dictator in its place.
orwell didn't pick up a gun to shoot fascists in spain alongside anarchist revolutionaries and write The book on it just so y'all can pretend the man favored inaction and the status quo.
Willem ArondĂŠus (22 August 1894 â 1 July 1943) was a Dutch artist and author who joined the Dutch anti-Nazi resistance movement during World War II. He participated in the bombing of the Amsterdam public records office to hinder the Nazi German effort to identify Dutch Jews and others wanted by the Gestapo. ArondĂŠus was caught and executed soon after his arrest. Yad Vashem recognized ArondĂŠus as Righteous Among the Nations.
Their attack, which took place on 27 March 1943, was partially successful, and they managed to destroy 800,000 identity cards, and retrieve 600 blank cards and 50,000 guilders. The building was blown up and no one was caught on the night of the attack. However, due to an unknown betrayer, ArondĂŠus was arrested on 1 April 1943. ArondĂŠus refused to give up the rest of his team.
ArondĂŠus was openly gay before the war and defiantly asserted his sexuality before his execution. His final words were:
"Tell the people that homosexuals are not by definition weak."
A man threatened her in the bathroomâbut she was the one who got fired.
Dani Davis, a Walmart employee, says she was fired from her job of seven years after a harrowing encounter in the womenâs restroom during a shift. Davis says a man entered the bathroom and yelled slurs, apparently mistaking her for a trans woman based solely on her height. She reported the incident to her immediate supervisor but was fired less than a week later, with Walmart citing a âsecurity risk.â
This is the environment TERFs and transphobes and conservatives (but I repeat myself) have created: any woman can be subjected to fear and harassment for even the slightest perceived deficit of femininity and cowardly corporations will do nothing to protect the safety of their own employees. In fact, they'll just make the problem employee - the victim - disappear, just to be safe.
Allegedly, Walmart is now scrambling to rehire Ms. Davis since the story has gone viral and they're now facing down a slew of negative press and (I suspect) are fearful of a lawsuit.
I hate how much the feminism tag on here has been taken over and corrupted by TERFs.
Itâs an actual radicalisation pipeline that immediately serves you the most vile transphobia the second you are supportive of women and speak out against misogyny. This leads to patriarchal, anti-feminist and reactionary thought being shown to women in a feminist coat of paint furthering the oppression of women out here in real life (including yâall âbiologicalâ women!!).
Sadly this problem is one of people living in a parallel world where facts and reality donât exist and can only be mitigated by effective moderation of misinformation by staff. As long as TERFs can freely lie and cite debunked studies (sometimes by the study authors themselves like the crime study) things will get worse for everyone.
Remember this every time a new drama comes out about staff banning trans people (especially women) unfairly while TERFs regularly send death threats and organise harassment campaigns without any repercussions. Tumblrâs staff and moderation team is not only favouring TERFs, it is actively trying to make more of them.
Little note for any TERFs reading: Your ignorance of your ideology furthering patriarchal ideas and the oppression of women is pathetic. Maybe think about why youâre so obsessed with equating womanhood to baby making and being weaker. Realise that your âfeminismâ can only work if you accept misogynistic ideas as inherently true and accurate.
In regards of the Trump government scraping all trans inclusion in its queer information portion of its websites I have made this thing. Spread the word. Don't let them pretend we never existed.
I'm (glad I'm) not from the US, but it's absolutely horrible what the fascists are doing over there. Let's not look away and, most importantly, let's make sure it doesn't happen in Europe as well!

Stop erasing Matt Engarde's scars. I'm sick of people claiming that "His breakdown didn't leave a scars, his scar must have been made by something other than those scratches". No. The marks he makes on himself during his breakdown are all the same shape as his first scar, and the one he makes on his left eye is even a carbon copy. Canonically, after 2-4, Matt Engarde has self-mutilation scars all over his face. And I'm sorry if that spoils his "soft little boy UWU" look for you, but there it is.
So if you want to draw him after his breakdown and without scars, be honest with yourself. Say "I find people with self-mutilation scars so ugly that I can't even stand that a character I love has them" and stop hiding behind false excuses.
âThe only time a lawyer can cry is when itâs all overâ | The real meaning behind this quote and why it means so much to me <3
I made another analysis post of sorts because this is something that bugs me a lot. Over the years, Iâve seen so many people treat this quote as something equivalent to saying âyouâre not allowed to cry, everâ when thatâs just not true! Lemme explain why.
What itâs supposed to mean is that as a lawyer, youâre not supposed to get emotionally invested in a case. You canât discover the harsh truth if you let your emotions get in the way. Mia resonated with the meaning of Diegoâs words which is why she clung to them so tightly, and she passed it onto Phoenix who then passed it onto Apollo and Athena.
It really irks me that so many people perceive this advice as âtoxicâ simply because Diego didnât want Mia to cry at that moment. It also hurts me that the fandom treats it as if Diego started a âmanipulativeâ trend. Like Iâm sorry, but he never said that crying is weak. He says, âyou canât cry yet.â Not âyou canât cry, period.â There were two points Diego wanted to get across to her:
1: He doesnât want Mia to give up.
2: There is always time to cry outside the courtroom.
It obviously hurt him deeply when he saw Mia so defeated. When Mia heaped all the blame onto herself, and was about to give up everything, Diego wanted to reassure her that âitâs not over yet.â The thing about crying is all metaphorical, he doesnât literally mean you can only cry when itâs all over. Itâs simply a metaphor to reassure her that she should keep pressing forward no matter how painful it is. Diego always speaks in metaphors, so why wouldnât this important quote also be one too? You shouldnât take everything he says so literally.
Of course, Diego is not the kind of person to show his true emotions at all. I believe itâs the result of dealing with too many harsh truths in his life. Even when he wants to show heâs emotionally in pain, he ends up physically hurting himself by crushing a mug in his hand. Yet he still smiles when doing so. Heâs so used to smiling through pain that he forgot how to express himself in a healthy way. Due to his behaviour, I can assume heâs already been through something traumatic several times as a lawyer. Something that the player never finds out.
Now just because he has that flaw, doesnât mean heâs trying to make Mia do the same. It was a moment of reassurance that he expressed based on his own experience. What Mia picks up from it, is up to her. In fact, she has her own way of saying his advice: âA lawyer is someone who smiles no matter how bad it gets.â She understood the meaning of his words, but she changed crying into smiling, to put a more positive spin on it. Then she went on to say âYou canât smile at the end if you havenât been smiling the whole way there.â Again, this is specifically advice for a lawyer. This doesnât apply to her personal life. Itâs her own way of saying ânever give up, even if itâs bad.â Sheâs took a liking to speaking in metaphors.
Phoenix sticks by her words just like how Mia stuck to Diegoâs. Phoenix is a lot like Mia, so his advice doesnât really change from hers. But what he adds to this is the gambling aspect. Phoenix always won in poker because heâs good at keeping a good poker face. I believe itâs because of Miaâs advice that he managed to use that skill so well in the first place. I absolutely love the way this quote evolves over time, and it shows how it all links back to Diego; making him a very important character in my book.
Another aspect that I like is how Godot basically had to fight against his own advice. With him being so lost without Mia, he was forced to put his own beliefs to the test. Yet, in that same light, he was saved by it; because Phoenix saved him. Phoenix only managed to save Diego because he followed Miaâs advice, who learned it from Diego. I love how it all came full circle.
As Godot, he (ironically) allowed his feelings to get in the way of the truth. This is something Diego taught himself not to do. He couldnât trust in the (w)right person because he thought it was all over. Phoenix proved him wrong by following Miaâs advice. At that moment, Diego/Godot learned a valuable lesson.
Something else Iâd like to add, even though these characters donât relate to Diego at all, is something that Tyrell Badd says in aai1. When Gumshoe was a rookie, he told him something along the lines of âa detective should never get emotionally involved in a case.â To me, it has the exact same meaning as âthe only time a lawyer can cry is when itâs all over.â However, I donât see anyone call Baddâs advice toxic.
Another interesting thing Iâve noticed is that when Diego does say this quote, heâs always bleeding. Heâs only ever said this two times, yet it stuck throughout the entire series. Once in Turnabout Beginnings, and the other time was when it was actually all over. Mia and Diego clearly needed each other in order for them to properly express themselves. When they were torn apart, they had difficulty asking for help. Never separate the poor meow meows. <3
Anyway, I think thatâs all I wanted to say. Hopefully Iâll be able to see more people appreciate the real meaning behind Diegoâs words now. đĽşđ
My takeaway from this is: âExpress your feelings but donât let them get in the way.â Honestly, I think that should become Athenaâs advice for aa7. đĽ°
