People: you either are someone who liked IWTV or someone who liked TVL.
me (the third kind of person who liked both):
Louis & Lestat + inaudible dialogue
Anyone have great fics with Buck navigating being a solo dad ?? (I mean Eddie will be there duh but they will be in the process of get their s*** together) đ
eric is like me, we loved the line where lestat tries to say Worcester
hearing eric saying 'down boy' changed me as a person
letâs all quit our jobs and rewatch lestat saying "be all the beautiful things that you are" to louis while at the altar
âď¸Touching the sunâď¸
I would imagine it starts with small things and tiny steps⌠And drinking buckets of your maker's blood, but that's a matter for some art in the future.
if a hug broke me down in this season, imagine what a kiss would have done to my mental health!!!!
I may be in the minority here, but I honestly think IWTV and TVL were adapted really well.
When I first read Interview with the Vampire, I remember thinking, wow, this is depressing, heartfelt, and deeply sentimental. Then I read The Vampire Lestat and thought, wow, this is vain, performative, and absolutely dripping with yearning without ever actually saying âI yearn.â
I think the show ended exactly where it was supposed to. It leaves us asking questions and feeling like there are pieces missing from the narrative, just like the books do. Thatâs part of the point.
The characters are all vicious, lonely, traumatized, and completely fucked up. Theyâre people, but they also arenât anymore. The ideas of âgoodâ and âbadâ donât really apply to them because theyâve lost their humanity. Theyâre dead.
The only thing I wish weâd gotten more of is Daniel and Armand, but theyâre barely in The Vampire Lestat anyway. Their story really belongs to Queen of the Damned, so I canât exactly be mad about that.
If youâre bashing a show you once claimed to love because of its nuance and layers, maybe what you actually loved was the aesthetic of New Orleans and Paris, not the story it was telling.
just hearing "could be, hands touch" is so triggering for me (in a good and bad way???)
It's okay. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's all right.
Daniel Molloy promoting his new book and documentary:
The Devil has minioned too close to the sun
i dont care how corny iris by the goo goo dolls is bc i love iris by the goo goo dolls and i will continue screaming iris by the goo goo dolls from the top of my lungs every time i hear iris by the goo goo dolls for the rest of my miserable lifeÂ
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT 03.07 | "The Failures"
I saw someone complaining about how Daniel only does what Armand says..
You know.. Daniel Molloy, aka the Devilâs minion..
