Perceive yourself as a successful person. Perceive yourself as a lovable person. Perceive yourself as the person who’s worthy of all the best in life.

Hinting is exhausting. Testing people is painful. Hoping your loved ones will “just know” leaves everyone frustrated. Direct communication may feel terrifying, but it is also liberating. It gives people the chance to show up for you in the way you actually need.
I really wish more people were comfortable saying "I can't provide the support you're asking for" WITHOUT always finishing up with "So You Need To Talk To A Professional". It's always perfectly valid to have limits and boundaries, to have to take a step back from a conversation, to not be able to provide X in your relationships - but we need to stop acting like only paid professionals should deal with people going through it, and we need to stop implying that asking for emotional support outside the context of a therapist/patient dynamic is inherently inappropriate
