Your typography is so beautiful and inspiring! I have just found your work and I am not sure if other people have already asked you these questions. But what tablet do you use to do your work? I have only ever used brush pens and pencil and paper, and I am not the best artist (when it comes to non-lettering), so I am wondering where to start? Or where you started? Thanks!
Hi! Thank you so much! I haven't been on Tumblr for the longest time so I'm sorry if this is a late reply. I didn't work with a tablet for the longest time, actually! I only used pencil and paper. I used my computer to digitize the artworks and then I would use Illustrator or Photoshop to finish my pieces. I had a Wacom Pen Tablet but I never really got used to it because you can't actually see what you're drawing on it. But as of recently, I've got myself a Wacom One Creative Pen Display and I love it so much! The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not portable and it only works with a computer. It's not a tablet per se, it's more of a second monitor that you can draw on. If you're just starting out all you ever need is paper and pencil, to be honest. That's definitely where I started. I honestly didn't get a tablet after I was doing lettering for years! But if you're looking to up your lettering game with a tablet, I'd also highly recommend the iPad Pro. You can see a lot of artists using it on Instagram and such! I've tested it at an Apple store and it's honestly so good. I don't have it yet but I'm planning on getting one this year. I hope this helps!

I'm actually NOT bored at all, but I feel like this @taylorswift lyrics fits so well right now. The "tired" part is TRUE, though. I'm just too tired of worrying about every single thing right now. 😭 Worrying about money. Worrying about not getting jobs. Worrying about getting the virus. Worrying about the people I love. Worrying about not getting things done. Worrying that I'm binge-watching too much. Worry worry worry. It's just so freaking tiring. The pressure of all this "free time" at home and all those posts "DO YOU KNOW WHAT EINSTEIN DID WHEN HE WAS QUARANTINED?!" No shit, Sherlock!!! Guess what? He didn't have the internet. Also, guess what? Not all of us are geniuses, damn it! In fact, there are only a few geniuses in the world so the possibilities of one of us discovering the next big thing during this pandemic are very small😂 Anyway, I don't know when all of this will get better but my mind is so full of different thoughts right now. SO YES, I'll be binge-watching more tonight. I'll be listening to music to make me feel better. I will do whatever I need to take my mind off things. I will letter Taylor Swift lyrics. And I don't know when I'll get back into the groove of making art but here's a start. And for me, that's better than nothing!
“A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman.” (Melinda Gates)
"Together we stand, divided we fall" I chose this line from a Pink Floyd song yesterday when I was checking today's #Inktober prompt. I had no idea this would be so fitting in light of the recent tragedy that happened last night in Vegas. It seems so strange to me that we can't even feel safe to go to a concert anymore. This shouldn't happen. #PrayForVegas
I move so Swift they call me Taylor! #INKTOBER Day 1. For the first prompt "Swift" of course I had to do something Taylor related.
Favorite line from P!nk’s song “What About Us”
When you’re first starting with brush lettering (or brush calligraphy), you can’t understand why your brush pen is being ruined, especially if you’re using the Tombow Dual Brush Pens because they fray so easily. What are you doing wrong? Is it the way you’re holding the pen or you just don’t know how to use it yet?
The thing about brush pen lettering is that paper matters a lot. If you’re not using the right papers, you’re just wasting your money by buying more and more pens because they get ruined a lot easier.
In this post, I’ll talk about the best papers for your felt tip brush pens. You’re gonna be able to make decisions about which one fits in your budget and help your brush pens live for much longer.

Look What You Made Me Do - Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s blackout is KILLING ME.
There is this big misconception about creating calligraphy or any kind of art: that you need fancy and expensive tools. I’ve learned this is not true at all. You can create amazing things with cheap tools, like the one I’m going to talk about in this post: the Crayola markers!
In this post, you’ll learn how to create calligraphy with the Crayola broad markers. The post includes photos, gifs and videos to guide you through basic strokes, writing letters and words.

Feminism is the radical notion that women are people.
I love this Coco Chanel quote so much ❤
"If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, let it be that human rights are women's rights and women's rights are human rights, once and for all." (Hillary Clinton)
Hillary Clinton said this in a speech back in 1995. This quote then surfaced last year (2016) for her presidential campaign. But this phrase actually has been used in feminist movements since 1980.
It seemed like a good fit for a series of hand lettered posters that I'll be making with feminist quotes. I call this my Feminist Project and this is the first poster that I made.
