What to know about me:

I'm a simple guy who wants to enjoy the quiet life.

I love animated shows, both anime and cartoons. (I have a MyAnimeList, look me up on RayResembool. WARNING: Salt inside, take my comments for what they are: Opinions)

I enjoy comics, western comics (Both american and european) and manga.

I like videogames, especially point-and-click adventures (Deponia, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream and MYST, for example).

I love movies but not so much live-action TV shows.

Sometimes I tend to be really blunt with my judgement about the media aforementioned, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. If you think I'm wrong, let me know kindly.

I like mainly electronic music, but I don't disdain other genres if they pack a punch. Feel free to hit me up in the DMs with musical recommendations.

I love to write fanfics, even though I don't have time to do so anymore. You can find my fics mainly on Ao3. I should also migrate some of my fics from here to that website too, but I was unorganized when I started posting them, so it's going to take a while and I don't have free time.

As you can guess from my header, I like vaporwave/synthwave.

Watched a documentary about abuse and advice one guy said to give children was, "Tell them that if someone is hurting them, to tell someone - and don't just tell one person. Tell as many people as possible, and keep telling as many people as possible until the abuse stops." and i really liked that

Bc so many ppl focus on the idea of telling A Trusted Adult, but even a well-meaning individual can fuck up and let abuse fall through the cracks or not know what to do

Whereas if a child tells LOADS of adults AND other kids, there's far less opportunity for an abuser to do damage control

Consistently telling their story and spreading it around disempowers the abuser to control and coerce the flow of information, or to utilise gaps and weaknesses in systems of reporting or welfare to isolate the child

Just really good advice. Not suprised I don't hear it more often.

More game devs need to understand the following concepts:

There is a finite amount of memory on any given device.

No matter how good your game is, players will want memory for other things on their devices.

Not everyone has a stable internet connection so making single player games needing an internet connection is not good.

The KIDS act (which contains KOSA) passed the US house, so I would recommend calling your senators and telling them to vote in opposition. I don't think I need to stress the importance of being able to use the internet freely and without privacy barriers being breached.

There are many scripts online you can follow, many ways to tweak your message to fit your senator (ESPECIALLY if they are up for reelection this year). Whether it's a recording you reach or a real person, be straightforward, don't argue, just let your rep know that you are a constituent and you oppose the KIDS act, etc.

Here is where you can search for your senator... call, email, fax, bring them physical letters, show up in person to their offices if you are able.

The Trump administration is cynically exploiting calls for stricter AI regulation to pass broad censorship measures at the federal level.

So, in terrible news, Trump's trying to pull some strings to pass this massive internet censorship bill, featuring all the kinds of internet censorship we're terrified of, including mandatory ID for accessing basically any website, specifically to crush state regulation of AI, because apparently this man will always see the moral bottom of the barrel and start digging.
