The Clitoria ternatea, commonly known as Asian pigeonwings, is a perennial flowering plant native to Indonesia. It is prized for its vibrant blue blossoms and edible parts, which can turn purple or pink when exposed to acid. The plant's genus name is derived from its visual resemblance of the human clitoris and vulva.
