I can’t wait to live in a cute lil apartment with the person I love and take bubble baths with them and play video games with them in our underwear and bake cookies with them and go on road trips with them and keep them safe and happy and just have a someone who’s like a bestfriend but that I can fuck whenever.

Hi, just outta curiosity what do you consider toxic or lacking in logic that you see on Tumblr?
The extremes in which people take their social justice, for sure. For example, did you see that post about Locks of Love I reblogged last night? That post was 100% lacking in logic, with no sources, all for the sake of persecuting a company that they thought was bad. Why did they feel a need to make that post? Because they need someone to hate. Tumblr is an environment where if you aren’t actively fighting against something, you’re evil, which pushes people to persecute anything that even has a slight flaw, and blow everything out of proportion. Make a slightly ignorant comment, perhaps out of ACTUAL ignorance? Your blog is gone. And not from tumblr deleting it, from the thousands of people who will send disgusting asks until they’re run off the site, even if the comment was misunderstood, taken out of context, or as ive even seen, faked, by people who hate that blogger. There is no reasoning with the mass. Tumblr has devolved into what is actually an incredibly unhealthy mentality that people are “all good” or “all bad” but never in between, never a mix, and no one is ever safe, because tumblr will never find someone who is “all good” and if you enjoy someone who they have deemed “all bad” (which is everyone, eventually) like a musician or actor, you are also now “all bad.”
There’s also the fact that everyone has a different experience on tumblr, but everyone talks like their personal experience should account for the experience of everyone. For example, people with a certain disability telling people to STOP DOING A THING while other people with the same disability then have to fight to correct the damage done because, no, you don’t have to stop doing the thing, actually. Take scopophobia, for example. A while ago someone made a post saying that ANY imagine where someone is looking at you, even an animal, or an anime character, should be tagged scopophobia. Suddenly, every image where you could even see someone’s eyes was tagged, and people who had actual scopophobia had to spend months trying to be like “no, please stop doing this, we literally can’t even see anything on our dash anymore because now our tumblr savior is picking up things that AREN’T EVEN SCOPOPHOBIA RELATED” while others still insisted that was the way to be. Because everyone is different, and generally segmented into groups of differing opinions, there is literally no way to assure that you present yourself as “all good” to tumblr, because what may be “all good” to one group, is “all bad” to the next. It’s an unwinnable situation.
Not only that, but tumblr actively encourages self-care, which is great, but many posts take it too far. “If you don’t feel up to going to school today, don’t! You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone” was a REAL SENTENCE, IN A REAL POST, THAT I HAVE SEEN. Also “everything should be free, nothing should cost money!” these posts are made by pre-teens who lack a fundamental understanding about how society and human structure works, even back in the days before money, bartering existed. These posts are incredibly detrimental to pre-teens on this website who are going to get into the real world and get their asses kicked because they think everyone should cater to them, and are also complete bullshit and incredibly insulting to everyone who has come before them and lived with mental illness, like me, and my mother, and my grandmother, who recognized that while self-care is important, just because life is hard for you doesn’t mean you get to sit on your ass and do nothing, you have to keep going and work just like everyone else (I am not grouping physical disability into this however).
So yeah, toxic as hell and detrimental to kids who think this is how the world works.
I feel like I have been waiting for this post all my life

Korrasami Confirmed
Now that Korra and Asami’s final moment is out in the world, it seems like an appropriate time to express how I feel about it. I didn’t want to say anything right away so the audience could experience the finale for themselves.
The main themes of the Avatar universe have always revolved around equality, justice, acceptance, tolerance, and balancing differing worldviews. In subtle and maybe not so subtle ways, Avatar and Legend of Korra have dealt with difficult subjects such as genocide, child abuse, deaths of loved ones, and post traumatic stress. I took it as a complement when Joanna Robinson of Vanity Fair called the show subversive. There were times even I was surprised we were able to delve into the really tough stuff on a children’s TV network. While the episodes were never designed to “make a statement”, Bryan and I always strove to treat the more difficult subject matter with the respect and gravity it deserved.
And over the years we’ve heard from numerous fans, in person and online, how Avatar and Korra have influenced their lives for the better or helped them overcome a life struggle or setback. I am always humbled when people share their personal stories with us and I am grateful that my love for telling stories has been able to help people in some small way. So while Avatar and Korra were always meant to be entertaining and engaging tales, this universe and its characters also speak to the deeper humanity in all of us, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, culture, nationality, or sexual orientation.
Our intention with the last scene was to make it as clear as possible that yes, Korra and Asami have romantic feelings for each other. The moment where they enter the spirit portal symbolizes their evolution from being friends to being a couple. Many news outlets, bloggers, and fans picked up on this and didn’t find it ambiguous. For the most part, it seems like the point of the scene was understood and additional commentary wasn’t really needed from Bryan or me. But in case people were still questioning what happened in the last scene, I wanted to make a clear verbal statement to complement the show’s visual one. I get that not everyone will be happy with the way that the show ended. Rarely does a series finale of any show satisfy that show’s fans, so I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the positive articles and posts I’ve seen about Korra’s finale.
I’ve already read some heartwarming and incredible posts about how this moment means so much for the LGBT community. Once again, the incredible outpouring of support for the show humbles me. As Tenzin says, “Life is one big bumpy ride.” And if, by Korra and Asami being a couple, we are able to help smooth out that ride even a tiny bit for some people, I’m proud to do my part, however small it might be. Thanks for reading.
The Legend of Colbert
I dont even know what to do right now. Recovering from both the Colbert finale after 9 years of bringing the truthiness and the finale for Legend of Korra and confirmation of Korrasami. Legendary shows, amazing endings and I somehow have to be awake and functional for tomorrow. So sad that its all over but so glad it all happened!

Avatar: The Legend of Korra is ending at midnight…
So is the Colbert Report.
Two finales. Both amazing and heart touching. And I refuse to sleep because I know its all I am going to be thinking about tonight. I wish I could hug everyone involved in the development of both these shows.
Getting slightly caught up in how great that last minute of the show even if it is not really a victory for me personally. I'm happy that there are fans out there who saw a ship they love get validated and proper representation for bisexual/homosexual on such a mature show. Love in story telling is truly the winner tonight cause really it is all the same love.
However holy shit I fucking loved the fight scenes and battle for Republic City, Varrick finally admitting his love and Zhu Li shining as a character. This show has honestly been the best and I will never not love it.
Varrick and Zhu Li’s wedding
Lin in casual clothes, nice! Mako, you need to mess up your hair again, it looked good that way.
I can only imagine how much more we could have gotten if this show had been funded more. Maybe nothing more because in all honestly that ending was all that was needed.
