Darcy took a deep breath, and grounded herself. Well if she was stuck there for half a day she was going to do her level best to enjoy herself. Darcy walked in and headed straight for the bar only to find she wasn’t the only one there at this time of day. She could only see him from the back. Dark hair, broad shoulders, thick thighs, he was obviously well built. It was even better that she could spot some ink on the back of his very well muscled forearms peeking out from under his sleeves. Yeah, he’d do.

Brock: I agree.

Darcy: You what?

Brock: He's a kid.

Darcy: You don't think I'm a kid.

Brock: You're thirty-four.

Darcy: *wounded noise*

Darcy, muttering: I'm still young.

Brock: We own three kinds of heating pads and yesterday you bought 5 lbs of Epsom salt, we're both officially old now.

Darcy: It could've been sexy bath Epsom salt, you don't know.

Darcy has a crush on Thor but she is can't because of Thor is with jane

Thank you for the request anon!! Darcy and Thor is honestly such a fun ship to write for, even if it’s a tiny bit angsty 🤍

It could be exhausting, being Jane’s ‘best friend’, as many benefits as there were. Darcy was basically a pro at it by now- Help her with her science projects, go on some pretty crazy adventures… Hang out with her god boyfriend.

Secretly, she liked the last part the most.

It wasn’t something she could tell Jane though, no matter how good friends they were. Even if her and Thor’s relationship was constantly on and off, it was a complete betrayal to like your best friend’s lover.

It was pretty standard friendship rules.

Darcy knew that, but the feelings sprouted anyway. They were silly thoughts at first, then little fantasies before she went to sleep. Finally, she was thinking of Thor as more than a friend at the most inopportune times.

Like now.

Her and Jane were supposed to be at a banquet, before some high tech villains blew half of the building up. Jane ducked for cover, and Darcy did too- Just not in the same direction.

And as luck would have it, Thor found her first.

She brushed off her dress pants, taking his arm to help herself out of the rubble. “Did you find Jane?” she asked quickly.

“No. I was hoping you knew where she was,” Thor said, face becoming concerned. Darcy couldn’t blame him in the moment… She was becoming just as worried. “Did you see her before the explosion, Darcy?”

Darcy nodded, pointing to the open side of the building. “We were talking to one of her stuffy friends before it happened… I think she ran further into the building,” she said, legs feeling a bit weak.

Thor noticed, and picked her up. “We’ll find her together then,” he said, swinging his hammer. Knowing what would happen next, Darcy held on tighter.

Together they flew towards the building, and for once, Darcy didn’t feel guilty over her thoughts. Anyone could get caught up in the moment…

A scene from my fic Take Me to the Lake where Din and Darcy are in a lake.

The moonslight was hitting his face and made him look almost ethereal and breathtaking. Darcy just loved looking at his face so much. She had believed for so long that she’d never see it, and she had been fine with it. She respected him. Darcy felt honored that Din let her see him like this and that he felt safe and comfortable in her presence. She just felt so much love for him that it felt like her heart would burst….

“I know I’ve told you this before, but you’re very handsome, and our kids are going to be absurdly cute. Not as cute as Grogu, but still very cute,” Darcy said. 

Din chuckled, his eyes crinkling.

“What are you going to do if my father pulls out a shotgun and demands you marry me?”

Brock frowned. “Is this a tricky question?”

Darcy narrowed her eyes. “It wasn’t supposed to be.”

 “Babe, don’t worry.” Brock put an arm around her shoulders. “I’m trained in 37 different ways to disarm a man.”

Darcy rolled her eyes. “Let’s just get this done.”

Brock held her hand before she could knock on the door. “Darcy.” He made her look at him. “I love you. I already love the jelly bean.” He touched her belly. “It’ll be fine.”

She sighed. “You’re right.”

So they knocked on her parents’ door, let them gush over the unexpected visit, make them sit in the living room, prepare coffee, make a bit of small talk, then…

“I’m pregnant.” Darcy declared, seemingly out of nowhere, in a moment when her mother had just asked how the weather was in DC.

Brock’s head turned to her so fast, she thought he must have hurt his neck. Her parents sat there in complete silence, their faces in shock.

“Are you serious?” Her mother demanded.

“Yes, mother.”

Dinah -Darcy’s mother -let out an inhuman sound that probably made all the dogs in the neighborhood cry in pain. Jake -her father -was still very much frozen.

“Oh my gosh! This is so great.” Dinah gushed, getting up to hug Darcy. “I can’t believe this. When? How?”

“I’m sure you know how.” Darcy chuckled. “I’m 8 weeks…”

Jake got up. “I need to find my shotgun.”

“Dad!”

“You’re getting married!” He father informed/shouted at her as she moved out of the living room.

Darcy gave Brock a look. “Now what?”

He just smirked. “We’re getting married, babe.”
