He was on his way out of the main doors of the Ministry, the brisk pace the only warning he gave (and a silent one) that he would not be stopping, when he heard his name. For a moment, a very brief one, Augustus considered stopping, but thought better of it, and laughed as he shook his head; he raised his arm, giving the universal come here gesture with his hand as he called back over his shoulder. âYouâre going to have to catch up, I am not stopping. If I stop I wonât leave the building, I donât leave the building, and Iâm going to get bitched at.â Which he would have had coming, he knew, but that didnât matter at the moment. Gus dropped his hand, figuring that theyâd either catch up to him or they wouldnât, it was their choice - but he took pity, and offered compromise. âYouâre welcome to join me for lunch, if itâs that important to you.â
Rodolphus did not run, not for anyone. It winkled his freshly pressed clothes. He did however quicken his pace after Gus as he refused to slowdown. âToday couldnât have been that badâ, Rod called still with a few feet between them, still working on closing the gap. âIt all depends on where we are going for lunchâ, he added. âYou know Iâm not much interested in any muggle establishments.â
