"its funny and its ironic, that only i feel that way," she shrugged her shoulder in mock sadness, fighting the urge to grin.

flora played the melody from memory, fingers moving across the keys as the tempo changed. it had been a fun little challenge, playing the public piano in an attempt to not sound too out of practice as she didn't have access to one. slowing the melody, she she played a little quieter, glancing at the figure to the side of the piano. seeing that face, after so many years of waiting for her to no avail, is a shock to his system in more ways than one. various emotions all hit him at once, anger, confusion, that loss that had dulled to a faint ache roaring back to life. "...asterin?"

"yeah?" she's thankful her hair is up in a ponytail at how quick her head turns at her name. its normal, the regulars in the gym have a habit of calling her name for help or 'shortening it' when they want to seem cool.

"do you think you could get the two of them or even just one of them to an appointment? i have a few openings if you'd really like to talk about it, but i do charge hourly." he let out a sigh as he looked up, assuming the anger radiating off of her was to do with someone else and not him. "maybe it'll help though and you can get whatever you need to off of your chest."

"i think my brother would kill me before admiting he was wrong," didyme wasn't far off, knowing exactly who's hand had secured her demise in the end of it. she still remembered begging for her life before she accepted she'd come second to power, always. "there's nothing i need to get off of my chest," she can't help the anger and frustration bleeding through her words, unable to control it as she had when she was immortal.

"Sabina! Where have you been hiding?" It felt like ages since he had seen his sister. With Ashley and him wanting to get married next week, he needed to get all of his siblings there and their mother to share this moment. "Have something to tell you, unless Ashley has beaten me too it."

"i'm sorry?" sabina's brow furrowed, uncertain she knew what she was 'hiding' from. raising her brow, she tried to figure out if she knew him from somewhere. " do i know you?"

"better door codes." jester nodded her head, "i'll make sure they know so they can be prepared." there was part of her that was really curious about what happened to cause this, but at the same time she knew it wasn't her place to ask. she tilted her head when aelin said she needed to get out of the office. "oh yes let's go! i know the best place and i'm not banned from it."

"and new bodyguards," tacking that on, aelin realizes she may need to personally vet them, or at least entrust them to lysandra or even jester to vet. shrugging on her jacket, she paused at the exclaimation, her own nervous energy forgotten. " banned from it?"

“how would i even know about this if you’re right? the whole galaxy thought i was dead, i had a fake name and everything.” and she knows, of course she does, that their mother doesn’t want it to be true, doesn’t want to have missed her grow up, and that both is a great and awful realization to have.

tenel doesn't have an answer for that and she can feel the mask slip a little more. she knows everyone thinks her daughter is gone, that the court had 'mourned' while she'd been in actual mourning for the life she'd once considered. "how long?"

"oh... i mean all great answers to those questions. i was just hoping you could double check my sources and make sure they're fine?" now tabby felt extra intimidated. she was ready to run away from this whole situation. if she failed she failed at this point. but she managed to dig out that strength that was somewhere in her and her feet didn't move.
