Just finished the Grind Customs FX DeProfundis Delay, after trying it out a little bit, this is by far the best PT2399 delay curcuit ive built, the addition of the tone control for the repeates allows you to get really dark sounding echos, and allows you to increase the feedback amount more with it getting out of control. Im going to build the little daughter board for it to add some modulation to the delay.

Two clones of the original Marhsall Bluesbreaker pedal, first introduced in 1991. This is a low gain pedal, designed to emulate the sound of the Marhsall JTM45 combo from the early 60s. All the capacitors used in the audio path of the circuit are Orange Drop capacitors. The 3 controls are: Gain - Tone - Volume. I made both of these for sale.Â
Made a passive stereo Re-amp box with a pair of high impedance Lundahl input transformers, a stereo 100KB potentiometers and a few resistors . This allows me to run line level signals out of my interface and in to various stereo effects pedals.Â

Finally finished this pair of modified tube screamers.
Two Identical Heavily Modified Tubes Screamer pedals. making this pair for a metal band, guitarist and bassist. so tried to make the Mods applicable to both instruments. Increased gain for more drive/distortion and Features a number of clipping options. Silicon, LED, MOSFET, and combinations. giving a total of 6 different distortion characteristics.

I haven’t posted anything on here in a while, so here is my new EP.
DIY Earthworks KP1 Kick pad. The KP1 is a device that costs about £100 that is a preset EQ in an XLR barrel that is specially designed for enhancing kick drums. I heard about these a few years ago and was interested by it, but was put off by the price. After a little searching on the internet I found somebody who had got the frequency response of the KP1, it is a notch filter centered around 335Hz, Similar to how the Audix D6 microphone has a big scoop in the Low-mid range. Inevitably you lose a little signal level due to the passive circuitry but it’s not by very much, The other draw back of my design is that It doesn’t seem to like Phantom power, so I could only test it with dynamic mics. I simulated the design first, and the plot on the Left is from the software SIMetrix, the Plot on the Right is the Actual response from my version. I’m quite happy with the outcome, It’s not identical to the KP1 but it still makes a noticeable difference. It’s not as drastic as I was hoping it was going to be. I tested this with a cheap T.Bone Kick drum mic, SM58, Samson QKick, Audix D6, and a EV RE20.
The AUDIX MXT1200 console was gathering dust in the cupboard so I decided to set it up in the TOFT studio. Connected all the mic pres, line inputs and direct outs to the patch bay, giving the studio a lot more options and flexibility. I really like the EQ on the Audix and prefer them over the ones on the toft ATB desk. unfortunately the only information I can find about this desk is from gearslutz and groupDIY forum.
My first pair of homemade microphones. The circuit is apparently based on a Schoeps design. The capsule is a Transsound TSB-165a and the FET is a 2N3819. The whole project took just a few hours to complete, matching the hFE of the 2N5087 transistors and sitting up the trimmer to correctly bias the FET is what probably took the longest time. I need to do some proper testing on these at some point to get an idea of the frequency response.
Recording cello with a pair of Coles 4038 ribbon microphones. Amazing sounding mics.
Put together a little studio at university in one of the sound proof booths, using spare focusrite equipment. Built a baffle for the ceiling to help reduce some of the reverb time in the low end. Did some sweeps using Room EQ Wizard (REW) before and after and got reverb time down by around half for frequencies between 100-200Hz.
