Mr. Bhat is an Indian stand-up comedian, script writer, producer and the co-founder of the popular comedy sketch group All India Bakchod.
He was one of the first four comedians to be featured at the Comedy Store Mumbai’s first all-Indian comedian line up, titled Local Heroes, and soon thereafter he performed alongside comics from the UK in a Best In Stand Up event.
He attended Sheth Munnilal Damodardasa Chaiwala Malhotra Hindu High School.
Tanmay was named one of India's “Top 10 Comics” by the Times of India.
Tanmay was also the co-founder of India's first comedy podcast with All India Bakchod, along with Gursimran Khamba.
He has also featured in a couple of Bollywood movies in minor roles or cameo appearances like Ragini MMS 2and Mr. X.
Tanmay was involved in a controversy regarding a 'Roast' hosted by his group which received diverse critical reception.
An FIR was filed in Mumbai on Tanmay along with Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and other panel members for using excessive vulgarity and profanity.
A complaint was also registered in 2016 by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena against him for imitating Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar using filters in a Snapchat video.
