One of my favorite malaysian writer of all times, Aisya Sofea♡◇

Kau Untukku by Aisya Sofea is a Malay contemporary romance novel. First published in 2001 by Alaf 21 and later republished in an updated edition in 2020, it is a classic in modern Malaysian romantic fiction.

The book is a dramatic love story that follows the emotional journeys and trials of its two main characters, Ahmad Fuad and Nurul Umairah:

Unrequited Love: Ahmad Fuad falls deeply in love with Nurul Umairah the very first time he sees her. However, she is already engaged to a man named Jeffri, forcing Fuad to keep his feelings hidden.

Tragedy Strikes: Right before their wedding, Jeffri is tragically killed in a car accident, leaving Nurul completely devastated and heartbroken.

A New Beginning: Seeing her grief, Fuad steps in to comfort her and eventually confesses his love. At first, Nurul rejects him because she cannot move on so quickly, but Fuad’s patience and sincerity eventually break down her walls.

Complications: Just as they find happiness, their relationship is tested when an old flame from Fuad’s past returns to reclaim his affection, and they face heavy disapproval from their families regarding their union.

(I think i read this book three times since. I kinda like how the writer end the story of Ahmad Fuad and Nurul Umairah...)

Patterns of Culture by Ruth Benedict is a foundational non-fiction book in the genre of cultural anthropology and social science. Originally published in 1934, it is considered one of the most influential works of the 20th century in popularizing the study of human societies.

This book here, inspired me to dive into the world of anthropology & sciences. Im interested in this so called anthropology studies, social studies and sciences studies. Maybe it is a start of something new soon!!

Conclusion:

These books belong to the non-fiction genres of psychology, parenting, and self-help / personal development. While they all explore how the human mind and emotions work, each applies these concepts to a different area of life.

Raising Cain by Michael Thompson & Dan Kindlon: Parenting and Child Psychology. It focuses on the emotional development of boys and how society shapes their behavior.

I enjoyed reading this book while diving myself into curiosity of what parenting a child & psychologically means.

Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman: Popular Psychology and Behavioral Science. It explains why emotional literacy (EQ) is more critical for success than IQ.

Im in love with the sciences behind this book!!

What intrigues me more is when i started reading this book called ,

A Whole New Mind by Daniel H. Pink: Business, Creativity, and Self-Help. It explores why right-brain thinkers (creatives and empathizers) will rule the future economy.

Yes, indeed. we right-brainers will rule the world better...

Our time shall come, their time shall pass...
