First thing first, I’m a fan of RBD and the og series so i wasn’t too exited for this new series, to be honest I wasn’t expecting much and my plans where to just do a hate watch and that’s it BUT my opinion changed and let me tell you why with some pros an cons
Pros
I literally was shocked when I saw Pilar on my screen in the first episode, was not a fan of her in the og rebelde but i was happy to see herÂ
Celina my beloved how amazing you are
The trama was good at first I liked that they didn’t do a new universe inspire by the og series and didn’t erased RBD, like they did some references in a few episodes and my nostalgic self was happyÂ
Dixon and Andi fav charactersÂ
Dixon was cute and was very sweet with MJ, really loved his accent to the point that when he was on my screen i was hoping for him to talk a lot and I like that he was a good friend and was trying to make peace when the others where fighting, he has king energy and I love him
Andi i love how she was herself from the start and that she was a gay mess everytime Emilia was near, really loved how careful she was with Emilia when she told her that she hasn’t been with other girl, we support  queen Andi hereÂ
Luka’s character was good and i liked how he was slowly realizing that he did care about the band and the way he changed his attitude once he was told that Esteban was his brother
The new set’s are cool wish we could’ve seen more of the schoolÂ
The original song and covers where good and Dixon’s rap was my fave
The uniforms look really cool and they way they styled them was good to watch, special mention to Dixon’s skirts and Lukas outfits
I like how MJ changed in every episode like you could see from the first episode that she was kind of shy and that everything was so new to her and seeing her be free and happy with herself at the end was cool
Cons
The lodge trama, I like it but I think they could have done more yk, like just 8 episodes wasn’t enough, I remember in the og series that the lodge was a big deal for a lot of episodes and it was predictable that Sebas was the leader but bonus points for the secretary being part of it, really took me by surpriseÂ
Marcelo being Esteban’s dad was a bit predictable they set it up good but I knew like two episodes before Esteban’s mom said it Â
I was so sure that one of the RBD members would make a cameo but 🤡🤡🤡 I was at the edge when MJ saw Roberta’s clothes thinking that Dulce Maria would appear behind herÂ
I hated that netflix did the sex scenes but you know it’s netflix and they love to sexualize teenagers soÂ
The songs, please if they’re gonna use the songs please just use them in the background or something like in Mamma Mia here we go again when they used chiquitita in one scene but it was just the instrumental (idk if it was chiquitita) but please don’t try and do new versions, the og’s are good and should not be touch, I get that they want another generation of fans but pls make original music like RBD did with Rebelde way if you know what i meanÂ
Now with the character’s, Esteban and Jana where ok but i wish they didn’t make them a couple so soon, and bc of that I couldn’t enjoy them much
MJ was great in the first few episode’s but with Sebas manipulating her to make her think that Jana was pushing her to be her shadow ruined her for me a bit, I understand why she did that in the final episode but at the same time I didn’t like it so I hope in the second season they fix it, I love her and Dixon together tbh.Â
I think this is all i have to say for now, I liked the series and it was more than I expected so kudos to netflix for making me change my opinion on this new idea and please remember this is my opinion and that I’m judging based on my nostalgia, I think it was great and that they will have a bunch of new fans if they keep it interesting enough in the future maybe I’ll do a rewatch or something

Hi there! I need some help…do you have any good Trimberly fic recs?
I am still new to Trimberly myself so I'm sure there are a lot of stories still in progress that I haven't gotten to yet, so here's a short list of completed fics I like.
I'm gonna start with The Long Game by filmfanatic82 simply because I am rereading that at the moment. The angst is delicious but ends in a well rounded and satisfying way.
Summary: Eight years ago, Kimberly Hart made a decision that forever changed the course of not only her life, but all those that she cared about... including Trini.
Next we have Let's Embrace the Point of No Return by cabooseachievables. It is a Ranger family friendly fic set in medieval, knights and princesses times. Great stuff.
Summary: After she gets exiled by her family, Trini leaves to find a new purpose with some friends she meets along the way. They travel to a new kingdom and decide to become knights-- and when Trini meets a girl named Kimberly, things get complicated.
(A Medieval/Knight/Princess AU for the soul.)
If you like sports, UnicornAffair's got your back. Roller derby, softball, basketball fics are all amazing. I'm just too lazy to link each one. I'm a sucker for Summer Landsdown/Aisha Campbell (Landbell) pairing because of UnicornAffair too.
Speaking of sports, my friend @5ivebyfive (who goes by twoorangecookies on Ao3) wrote a cute and funny enemies to lovers, fake dating fic set in the world of women's soccer called Astral Projection Can Get Me Out of Here.
If you ever ask yourself if you want to read a 90k Ladyhawke AU for Trimberly the answer is always yes. Correction: the answer is HELL FUCKING YES. Night and Day by thegirlwiththeottertattoo is another fic that hurts so good that has Ranger family feels and ends in a well rounded and satisfying way.
Summary: "It doesn’t help that every passing day brings them closer to the moment when they won’t be able to salvage this, when they’ll be living in twilight and dawn for the rest of their lives.
But most days, the fact that they’re both alive is enough. The fact that there’s still a chance they can be together again, truly together, not this half-life they’ve lived for nearly two years, can keep her going. One night at a time. That’s all she can do.

Lastly for now because my attention span is waning, In Another Life We Might Know by andawaywego. Kim helps Trini complete her bucket list, which includes learning how to juggle, teaching her brothers to drive and getting married.
Summary: There are lots of things you should probably do when you think you're about to die. It's just, you know...marrying your best friend isn't usually one of them.
I might come back to this and link some more because there are like a dozen in my bookmarks saved and at least ten authors who you cant go wrong with anything they write , but that's it for now.
