"Holden Ford is a psychopath/sociopath" is one of the dumbest dumbest takes on Holden Ford in the universe.

Throughout the show, Holden shows actual empathy, attachment to other people, he never willingly hurts anyone physically or rejoice in their pain.

He actually sympathises with the mothers in Atlanta, is disappointed and hurt for the death of Cody in the first episode, just as he is for the FBI celebrating the closure of the Atlanta case when there is likely someone else to blame for some of those murders.

He can be obnoxious and myopic in the way a young, ambitious man can be; he is maybe not the best boyfriend for Debbie (tbh she isn't a good gf either, so we can say they were both bad partners), he can be callous/not very sensitive when approaching things. Still, people on Reddit depict him as if he were the devil. Can these people have some media literacy?

He did not deserve to be cheated on by Debbie, or for her to break up with him like that, and both Wendy and Bill sometimes ride him a bit too hard imho-

(but this is just me- tbh Wendy irked me massively when she was talking to Greg and said "it's the murdered children Holden is obsessed with" like LMFAO sorry but of all the things one can be obsessed about wanting to catch a sex predator ain't too bad 😭 a lot of times I feel like she has misplaced anger towards him, when the truth is: they just want to do the same thing for different reasons, she is an academic, wants to research, he wants to use the stuff he is learning to catch predators NOW- neither are wrong, just different)
