Wherever you are in your journey, be proud of yourself for the small things. Those small things will become big successes in the future.
I started doing hot yoga two weeks ago, and wow the first day was ridiculously hard .w.
[1] 30 Day Shred - Day 5
Keep forgetting to update but I’m wanting to get back in the groove of things here haha. Will take time.
I’m really proud of my sister and I. Halfway through level 1! Soon level 2. I’m already seeing definition in my shoulders and arms. The weight has increased a bit :/ But I’m going to wait it out for now.
[1] 30 Day Shred - Day 4
Was pretty tough but I think my endurance is getting a little better. So far so good. The lunges are always a killer ugh.
[1] 30 Day Shred - Day 2, 3
Kudos to me and my sister for getting this far with energy. We are going through this like killers!! Been really enjoying working out with her and really proud of her for joining me :’) She has a fast metabolism and although she’s slim on the outside, she acknowledges that she should work on the health, so I’m super proud of her!
The workouts are hard but we encourage each other. EVERYTHING hurts but I see progress in my exercising!
Today is day 4 :) Bring it!
[1] 30 Day Shred - Day 1
So I’m kickstarting by doing 30 Day Shred. This is probably my 3rd time attempting? First time I did it, I finished it and moved onto Ripped in 30 (Which I actually intend to do btw!). Second time I kinda gave up midway coz I guess I found it boring since I remembered the routines...
But it’s been awhile since I’ve exercised like this. I kinda did the odd occasion HIIT youtube videos but I guess I wanted something a bit more structure. Spontaneity is good, but structure is good too!
So my sister and I are attempting this together (Wooh, fitness buds), and it was quite challenging actually. I’m hoping to be able to complete the whole set of pushups on my toes. I managed to do possibly a bit on my toes, but I wanna be able to get myself to do it ALL on my toes! It was tough though.... First days are always tough. Its been awhile since I’ve incorporated strength also. Gonna try and push myself further tomorrow!
Wow, hello
Hello Tumblr friends.
Well, hahahahaha. Guess who’s back, AGAIN???
I have a long story as to why I’ve been gone. For those who have followed me awhile I basked on this journey to lose weight from my heaviest, and I am forever thankful to the 2013 me. However because I was quite strict on myself, I suffered the consequences and went on a binging journey. It was a newly formed thing for me, and I realised that I had binge eating disorder. This took about 1 year, thankfully, for me to recover from. It was horror every night, and I just wanted it to end. After making the move and educating myself, writing my thoughts, and logging what I ate, that was surprisingly the first step to recovery. And after a year, I was recovered and no longer eyeing food like an animal.
So last year was the post-recovery; the quest to finding balance. And admittedly, I did. I managed to balance on a weight of around 58.7kg (129.4lb), and I actually kept that on for 2016. Serious big pat on my back. After going through a binging journey, finding balance isn’t easy, and especially maintaining your weight.
This year, I am slowly creeping up the scales, and you can see it in my face and body too. Now this isn’t because I have some ED. It’s because of typical reasons. Like falling off bandwagon, caring less, thinking that 1 packet of chips isn’t gonna kill me... etc, etc... And we’ve gotten up to this stage. I weighed myself at 59.9kg (132.2lb) about 3 days ago, and my goal is to get down to 55kg (121.3lb), by whenever to be honest.
Now I know scales shouldn’t be a big deal. It shouldn’t, because I can see it’s quite subjective. But I guess as personal preference, just for now at least, I want to weigh myself every week, just to at least feel like I’m ON track. I’m going to try and attack this differently this time though, and not let it just be on the numbers. I actually like myself how I am now. I’m not going to completely hate myself this time. I’m going to take care of my mental health along the journey too, and I hope my weight loss will follow also.
Finally, I want to feel strong, fit and agile again. I don’t want to feel so groggy or stuffed anymore... I want to feel fit, and look fit.
Tumblr has always been a way to keep myself accountable. If it wasn’t for this blog, I don’t know where I would be. So I thank Tumblr for being a platform for having inspirational quotes, pictures, tips, and other beautiful people who are also losing weight or achieving different things with their fitness goals!
Cheers to those who have stuck with me. I hope you follow my journey :) I’m back on the grind!
one plus of being an artist is when you’re in need of support you can draw it.

Let's get this straight, girls:
Cardio: Required for fat loss. HIIT is said to be the most effective cardio for fat loss.
Strength/Weight training: Required for toning and definition. You won’t get abs or lean-looking legs without strong muscles. Lift heavy.
Good nutrition: Required for all of the above. Always remember, 70% diet, 30% exercise. Keep your intake in check.
The “Beach Body” requires all three of these elements. No matter how much cardio you do, if you eat like shit and do no strength work, you will not get the toned, lean, slim body you are after. If you eat fantastically, but do zero exercise, your body won’t really do an awful lot of changing.
It’s not easy, but it’s worth it:

Here’s my progress!
I don’t eat healthier at all but I changed how much I eat. I eat at a calorie deficit (500 calories less) plus I started running every day. At first I barely could run a block. I run 8km a day now.
5'3 Starting weight: 70kg Current weight: 55kg
So proud of myself. Best decision I’ve ever made! X
