The fic doesn’t follow my canon of ‘All Might agrees with the hero killer.’ It’s merely based on my AU. Also the author is an evil person who thinks cutting off 1 finger is not enough because, y’know, symmetry and all. But it’s good and I’d encourage you to read it ^^

If it’s the latter then sure! Go ahead! As long as people are willing to mention me in their fic and link me their work so I can read it, I’m down with whatever.

A live-action adaptation of ATLA is coming to Netflix, executive produced and showrun by ATLA and TLOK co-creators and showrunners Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, collectively known to the fans as Bryke.

Here’s what Bryke had to say:

“We’re thrilled for the opportunity to helm this live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. We can’t wait to realize Aang’s world as cinematically as we always imagined it to be, and with a culturally appropriate, non-whitewashed cast. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to build upon everyone’s great work on the original animated series and go even deeper into the characters, story, action, and world-building. Netflix is wholly dedicated to manifesting our vision for this retelling, and we’re incredibly grateful to be partnering with them.”

Obviously we’ll be covering this in full. Expect a LOT of news, this could be one of Netflix’s biggest productions, on the scale of House of Cards, Stranger Things, and The Crown… this could be their competitor to HBO’s Game of Thrones and its upcoming spinoffs, Amazon’s Lord of the Rings prequel series, and Disney’s live action Star Wars series… this could be really, really BIG…

Tips That Can Save Your Kid’s Life.

When I was a child, from the time I was about four and could understand things, my mom told me and my brother that we should have a secret word. That way, if we were ever in trouble or felt unsafe and we didn’t want the people around us to know we needed her to come get us, we could let her know. So she let us pick the word and my brother and I chose the phrase “peanut butter cups.” (I’m happy to share the phrase now since both my brother and I are adults now). 

I used the phrase twice in my life. Once, I was at a friends house when I eight years old. Her dad got really drunk and was throwing things against the wall. I was really scared and I didn’t want to draw attention to myself on the phone when I called my mom to come get me because I didn’t know if he would get more violent if I asked her to come get me. So I called her and was calm and after a couple minutes I asked “Hey mommy, did you get me those peanut butter cups from the store?” And she said “I’ll be right there.” And she came and got me within minutes. 

Second, I was a teenager spending the night at a friends house. Her brother and dad were drinking and they started talking about things that made me uncomfortable - ie: what they liked to do to women. My friend didn’t seem perturbed and said that was normal for them and that I shouldn’t worry. But I was worried because they were really drunk and I was 15 and the only ‘woman’ around that wasn’t related to them. I went in my friends room, told her I needed to call my mom and say goodnight. Before I hung up with her I asked “Next time we go to the store, can we get some peanut butters cups? I’ve been craving them.” And she came and got me, just like that. 

Two incidents, one as a young child, one years later as a teen. Don’t discredit this stuff, it fucking works. My brother used it a few times too. Let your child pick the word and no never, ever, ever, ever get mad at them for using it no matter what it is.

In your villain All might AU, you said that All Might gets attached without realizing it. So is there any one particular moment where he does? And does Izuku still clean the beach for training?

Well. It happens gradually, with one little thing after another.

Going to a beach almost everyday for 10 months and watching the person you choose grow stronger each day. Eating lunch with them, sitting on warm sand, leaning against old fridges and letting them lean against you. Talking with them, teaching them everything you believe in and.

Well.

All Might realizes the extend of his attachment when Izuku keeps breaking his body to be a worthy hero and he desn’t like that. Not one bit.

He should be proud to have chosen such a driven successor but nope. He’s exasperated.

He’s a gangster turned vigilante by Nana?

He’d know how the gangs worked and he’d be there to support All Might in the beginning, when the only people he went after were all criminals people couldn’t touch. They’d do it all in secret and the crime rate would go down bit by bit.

People wouldn’t know it was them and praise heroes for their deeds. They wouldn’t mind it all that much.

They’d drift apart when heroes start gaining popularity and when All Might leaves for USA to broaden his experience and to shake off the investigators on his trail.

Gran Torino thought what they did was enough. All Might didn’t agree.
