Talking about things being âgay cultureâ then straight people getting super offended is gay culture
A good thread on whether âqueerâ is a slur and if it should be used or not.
âIf I am unashamed of being queer, you do not get to give that word BACK to the fuckwits who made it a slur.â
you do not get to give that word BACK to the fuckwits who made it a slur
EVERYBODY WHO CAME OUT BEFORE YOU HAS TAKEN THE ROCKS AND BOTTLES AND MADE THEM INTO SHIELDS AND WINDCHIMES
Holy motherfucking shit. Donât fucking come at me about Queer is a slur. I FUCKING KNOW IT IS. It was hurled at me like a fucking spear all through my youth. I know itâs a god damn slur. And itâs mine. You donât get to take it away from me because you canât take also away the scars it gave me while I was standing in front of my younger queer siblings in this community.Â
always, always reblog this one.
If my enemy swings a sword at me and I take that sword away from them, itâs my sword now. And the person telling me I canât use it because it belongs to my enemy and I have to give it back to them sounds quite a bit like an enemy themselves.
^^ god that analogy
a lesson on nonbinary individuals and why we feel the way we do about numerous basic things, such as the mere fact of our existence and our pronouns.
As a nonbinary bisexual I relate to this on multiple levels.
oof yeah
At this time all (or nearly all) nonbinary people are born into a dangerous world. We are forged in hate and pain against an entire world for the simple freedom to live.
Be proud of the indomitable strength this struggle has brought you. You have earned that pride many times over.
Be proud that you have the strength to build a world, where future nonbinary people can grow like flowers in the sun, instead of steel in fire.
We are the blade to fight for that future, and the shield to protect it.

The Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act of 2017 would do nationally what seven states and the District of Columbia have already done.
This bill would allow the Federal Trade Commission to classify conversion therapy and its practitioners as fraudulent.
<3 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS PASS <3
And (according to this article anyway) it explicitly covers conversion therapy for gender identity!
SPREAD IT MY DUDES
SPREAD IT FAR AND WIDE
:)
Please reblog. Conversion therapy fucked me up big time. This shouldnât be able to happen to anyone.

Bandcamp TLC Donation Day!
Hey guys,Â
Today, Friday August 4th, Bandcamp.com is donating 100% of album purchases to Transgender Law Center in response to the recent comments made by Donald Trump about Trans folks not being allowed in the military. Every little bit helps and you can get yourself some cool music! I have an album on Bandcamp called They; a folk music collection including the title track which documents the life of a non binary person (Pretty much myself). So go download now, shop around to other great trans artists, and support a great cause! Heres the link to They: https://vintagelosers.bandcamp.com/album/they-2
Hey
So this is an old account that I was an admin on way back when I could identify as non binary (straight up I was fluid but didn't know the name) so I wanted to tell a quick story on how that went. I had a chest binder a button up shirt from old navy and long curly nappy hair. I looked hideous with that hair. I hated it. I cut it off one night and my dad threatened to kill me because he knew what was happening. I walked around school calling myself Kyle having everyone call me Kyle and being so happy. Nobody told my mother which was really good since she worked there. A month later I was sent to the psych ward where I told them I just wanted to be male. So they gave me a private room and I would accept it they called me Kyle it was nice. Then we have a family counciling day and they outed me My mother said "we will always love you" with a smile on her face and love in her eyes. Then when we were leaving color walking out of her class a girl said "hi Kyle" I waved back and smiled. Then my mother snapped at me. Telling me how I wasn't born male and shouldn't be that way. She saw my chest binder and asked about it and I just said it was an ultimate sports bra she didn't like it and kept it. So I was supposed to grow my hair back be called Kiara on all forms of social media and she took my only button up. I have it back but I fear for my safety of home if I wear them ever again. Now I'm Kiara and I have a home and I'm okay I guess. Not happy. But okay. ~old admin Kiara
Dragons donât really give a shit about the gender binary.
