Tumblr is just one huge circle jerk of children when it comes to insulting people. Honestly, “Igloo Australia” is the kind of thing I still wouldn’t find funny if I was 8, but somehow grown people seem to revel in the fact that “Iggy” is somewhat similar to “Igloo” and that she’s from Australia, as if either of those facts are insulting or make her lesser of a person. FACT: There are enough of reasons to shit on Iggy, from her character to her music, neither of which I am a huge fan of. So if you need to resort to or add in making fun of her name or something as insignificant as that, then your argument is instantly weakened as well as your own character. If I was trying to talk shit about someone, I wouldn’t say, “Yeah, she burglarizes houses and punches old ladies in the street. Also, her birthmark vaguely resembles a penis.” Give real arguments about people’s characters or you just come off as petty. Also, it’s really disappointing to see how a lot of girls will easily jump onto showing their dislike towards Iggy Azalea by insulting her appearance or comparing her looks to others.” As of girls don’t get enough of that shit. Good job. I’d remind you of your feminist ideals, but those don’t seem to apply when you’re busy being a petulant preteen with the wit of a goldfish.
Tumblr: “Body/Image positivity is only valid if I like you.”
