Honestly, I’m excited for season two of She-Ra. The characters already were so developed and interesting in season one, I can’t imagine what arcs and challenges they’re all going to go through. What I’m most interested about though is the characters we haven’t met. I’m curious about how they incorporate parts of the original; the things they add and get rid of. Characters like as Skeletor, who teamed up with Catra in the original, Hordak, who we’ve barely seen, and maybe even He-man? Of course, we’ll meet the other princesses and probably get more backstory on the First Ones, but who knows? Maybe DreamWorks will send a curveball. It’s been about a week since I’ve binged the show, but I must say I’m pumped

Catra touching headcanons

Catra has always been super affectionate

She’s never afraid to get up in the faces of her enemies or have her arms open to a friend

Adora never understood when she was younger, why she seemed to be in the centre of her best friends affection, but she never once felt uncomfortable, so she never asked

After Adora left, Catra not only felt abandoned but also lost. She’d always had at least Adora by her side (a bond made when she was young and didn’t understand how untrustworthy people in the horde can be) and to form such a relationship with someone new sounded not only impossible but also foolish and doomed to end in tragedy for her

Scorpia is more observant than Catra realises and tries to help (having had previous knowledge about her species and their habits)

Catra becomes conflicted because, on one hand, she craves physical comfort, but on the other, it just reminds her of her biggest loss. This, of course, makes her angry so she tries to cut off all contact (to grow stronger or to save her the pain, she doesn’t know)

This doesn’t work

One night she wakes up, cuddled up in Entraptas hair while she and Scorpia are talking softly

But honestly, she’s exhausted and doesn’t have the energy to care, going back to her normal self

White Diamond Theories

Okay! I’ve been living off of 5 hours of sleep and rehearsing all day. Apologies in advance for any and all mistakes/sentences that just don’t make sense. I have a bunch of theories about who and what white diamond is, but I don’t have time for them all, so I’ll tell everyone my favourite. 

White Diamond is the first gem.

Let’s look at why. White diamond is different to every other gem we have seen in the series, so we know that something’s up with her. I believe that she was actually created. Not just formed like a Amethyst or a Ruby, but actually created by a different race.

There are other Aliens out there and the gems have made contact with them.

When humans are discovered on earth, it’s not treated as somethings special, the gems obviously don’t care about a different race and (most of them) don’t hesitate to just wipe out humanity. They don’t take time to explore or research, they act like this is just another part of there job. But what if it is? Ever since I found out about everything with the gems, I wondered, 

How many civilisations have the gems destroyed?

It’s treated so casually, you can’t help but wonder.

NOW. Back to White Diamond. Gems don’t accept mistakes or differences in their society, thats basically how the whole show ends up happening, but White Diamond is different, and the most powerful (that we know of) gem. I believe this is because a long time ago, thousands of years ago, some ancient, possibly long gone space travellers where looking to create soldiers or workers and the result was white diamond. From here I have multiple ideas of how the situation could have worked out.

1. White Diamond served her purpose and remained still around after the other Aliens had died out or moved on (possibly after the other diamonds were also created by the Aliens. This leans onto another theory of mine, that pink diamond was created by the other diamonds, to try and replicate themselves, and she was the first good outcome)

2. White diamond overpowered the Aliens and they could not control her, thus she destroyed her first civilisation and proceeded to create her own

3.White Diamond is left to continue serving the Aliens, making them colonies while they continue on their travels/explorations

etc.

I know there are probably lots of holes, but its just what my tired, delirious brain wanted to share with everyone. Feel free to use any of these for anyway you like, or build on them, but give credit if you do so (or ask me first, whichever is easiest).

Lets think about Keith and Lance

Okay so one thing I haven’t really seen around, is people talking about the full swap Keith and Lance have done, prominently in season 6. 

Lets look at the two of them at the start of the show. Everyone knows how family orientated Lance is, he never stops talking about them through the show. Though Pidge is the one who’s whole arc kinda relies on her family, Lance is constantly worrying, even though they (seemingly) aren’t in danger. He’s ready to save the universe, but really he wants earth. He’s still laid back though and always looking to make new friends.

Now Keith. The classic “bad boy”. Reckless, fascinated by weapons, and at the start of the show he likes to make people think he doesn’t need anyone. He never really meets new people, many people assume he’s afraid of losing people he loves like what happened to his dad or Shiro. 

When people think of Keith and Lance, they think of polar opposites, but at the moment they’re turning into each other. Keith has a family now, he’s comfortable and happy. He’s no longer shy or uncertain when it comes to people (he was unsure when he first met Romelle, but not because of her, but because of the situation). He’s calmed down a lot since season one and really has started to really value others and make sure everything he has done has been done for a good cause. He’s not as reckless and he even took (what felt like to him) basically two whole years away from the job (I know he was traveling to complete a mission, but you never saw him frustrated or angry at the fact it would take time or at the fact they where never 100% sure what would happen. Now, I think that’s some character development).

Looking at Lance, he’s also changed, slower, yes but he’s changed a lot. In season 6, the show highlights how lonely he becomes. Lance even starts talking to the ship’s mice, something he thought was stupid, but he does it anyone at this point because he doesn’t have anyone else. Hunk and Pidge are busy and have become absolute BFF’s, Matt is somewhere else doing something else (yes I believe they would have been great friends if they actually had time to talk to each other), Shiro was “recovering” then turned evil, Allura was in love with Lotor (for the most part), Lotor was evil, Keith was gone and Coran was probably busy cleaning, building, helping Allura and Lotor. Lance just didn’t have a purpose in this season. Sure there was the missions, but he did the same as everyone else. He’s been talking less to his friends and he’s even stopped talking about girls. I believe he like Allura a lot more than he let on (he literally died for her) but he knew it wouldn’t work out. He’s become the loner that Keith once was. He also got the cool sword everyone assumed Keith would get, and has been seen training, like Keith did, when he didn’t need to. I have a theory that Lance has been training a lot in between missions, for multiple reasons: He has not much else to do, he understands how high the stakes are getting, he never stopped wanting to be like, or better than Keith. 

There is more, I know, but this is just what I could think of off the top of my head. Klance has switched around and honestly I just want both their families to be okay.
