Chipping Sparrow by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio
Beneath The Lily by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: An artistic and abstract viewing of the light from beneath an orange lily. The light emphasizes the fragility of the blossom and the glow produced through the petals. Softness, elegance, simple glowing color!
Sunflower & Green Glass by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: A lovely yellow sunflower is nestled against two vintage glass containers, one a clear green bottle and the other an embossed old water jar.
3 cherries by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Three cherries still life, taken with a Lensbaby 56 lens
Kiss My Foot by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: A male Eastern bluebird flew up to this branch and started preening after a bath. I was able to catch him cleaning his foot. Photo with painterly processing.
Light and Dark by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Three beautiful double peonies each lift their head and blend them together in a still life setting. Accented by clear glass containers and the secrets of the dark, they glow in the light of fragrance and romance. A painterly finish adds to the mystery and charms the viewer.
Peonies On Book by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Perennial garden classics, peonies are loved throughout the world for their extravagant, early summer blossoms. A favorite cut flower, they have a perfumed scent which is romantic and gentle. One of my very favorite flowers, I placed them on an antique book which was topped with a gauzy purple fabric. This print would look lovely in any room of the house, except perhaps a man cave!
Gloria Mattutina Bianca by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Every year we have a white morning glory volunteer in the rich soil where a flower garden used to be. It first made an appearance after I became chronically ill and had been sick for the first year. It was as if God was giving me a special gift flower since I could no longer enjoy this favorite pastime. Every year the vine grows longer and puts out more flowers. After taking this photograph, I added a rich background during processing. I am so thankful for this summer visitor!
Orange Daylilies by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: In many areas of the US, orange daylilies grow wild and are a sure indication of summer. You will find them in the lower lying areas of the countryside. Each bloom lasts for a day, but the plant is constantly producing flowers so there is always a show!
Lindsey Bridge Rd, Greenville Co. SC by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Looking from the road down at a cornfield, and on up to a mountain.
Dried Hydrangea by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Hydrangeas give color all year long, once on the bush, and then dried in the home.
Color Drops by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: A photograph of a cardinal sitting through a rain shower has been given a playful and colorful treatment for an abstract statement, bright and one of a kind. Makes a beautiful gift, to yourself or for others!
Flower Corner In Guernsey by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: In this small corner on Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands off of the coast of France, flowers bloom profusely and charm the passers-by. The Channel Islands were once part of the French nation, but were given to the United Kingdom around 800 AD. Guernsey has its own language, its own currency, and a parliamentary form of government. This photograph was given an impressionistic finish.
Just A Little Conversation by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: Male house finch and male cardinal on a forsythia shrub.
Gleaming Goldfinch by Rebecca Bellesouth Studio Via Flickr: In spring, the breeding male American goldfinch (spinus tristis) sports a brilliant yellow hue, often flocking with other male and female goldfinches in trees near a feeder. Their sweet twittering is unmistakeable and fun to listen to. They are the state bird in Washington, New Jersey, and Iowa. Though these are breeding colors, they don't actually start nesting until July. Many parts of the US may not see the male in his bright colors, but they will see non-breeding males at their feeders.
