I get that the taxidermy is thematic, but the specimens are so laughably terrible.
I’m gonna laugh so hard if Charlie asks about the vehicles parked in the house.
“don’t call me ‘khun’” aw Babe
also I just love the way Babe isn’t really pushing Charlie on his memory; he’s showing him their living space and things that might jog his memory, but he’s being fairly easygoing about it all despite how desperate he is to have Charlie remember him again
woo, the car was a trigger; I love it, but Charlie’s “little kid playing at race cars” motions are so corny
Oh wtf Alan - is this how he’s going to get Babe to go back to Tony?
ouch Charlie; but also good for him for asserting his boundaries
I love Jeff and Charlie scenes.
<3 Pavel is so good at the quiet moments
but ouch ouch ouch, the pain on Babe’s face when his kiss didn’t have an effect on Charlie’s memory
at least Alan admitted it was because he didn’t want to do the surgery
villain has a world domination plan: trope check!
(but honestly i’d watch a movie about the world that Tony wants, because you know the alphas would revolt and there’d be a romance sub-plot between one of the lab subjects and one of the alphas - oh look it’s Babe and Charlie)
“that someone’s gone now” Babe :(
and I guess that clears up my confusion from a couple episodes back about where the motorcycle was
password security is not Charlie’s strong suit, clearly (Teen Wolf flashbacks lmao)
Oh no way, Charlie anticipated losing his memory and left himself a video?! love it
!!!! I didn’t expect Alan to do that (except why does he think that would kill him? didn’t they talk about Tony possibly having the ability to resurrect when they first found out he was alive??)
Way stealing Tony's medical file seems really random and plot convenient.
that’s a weird twist to Tony's ability: he has to swallow his own blood before his pulse stops in order for it to work
Charlie being all chipper about Babe’s “dad” visiting, when he also brought a hooded hostage and a bunch of goons with him LOL
I thought Tony was there to take Babe and Charlie with him, what with said goon squad, but I guess the final episode needs a “invade Tony’s lab” scene. And you can't do that without your leads.
Pavel, you actor you - Babe’s physical reaction to Tony being in his home was the perfect angsty touch; and then Charlie noticing and trying to comfort him even though they’re still basically strangers? SO GOOD
“don’t be mad at him” really????
Jeff absolutely gets to be mad at Alan for what he did
noooo keep going, I want to see how it ends - watching a show as it airs has its drawbacks LOL
Another excellent episode that went way too fast.
Is it bad writing that the gang is surprised about Tony’s resurrection ability or am I mis-remembering what they talked about at the beginning of the season? None of them should be surprised. They all know he came back from the dead somehow. I did like how it was presented though. Alan vs Tony intercut with the group finding out was really cool.
I feel like I need to caveat my Winner comment, because even though he's ripe for fanfic exploration in a similar way to Dean, he's currently in the "real bad" stage of his characterization. And, unlike Dean, the show is not intent on redeeming him so they are willing to have him get extra violent and enjoy it. I'm okay with that because not every bad guy can or should be redeemed on screen. That's literally what fanfic is for.
And that reminds me. Willy. I don't want him to be redeemed on screen. I will happily read redemption fic that takes time to reason it out and dig in to his characterization. But for Babe's sake, I hope the show gives him consequences in the end. Also, I'd love one last confrontation with Charlie. As a treat.
I saw the post-episode trailer, so I don't think it's going to happen, but I am really hoping Jeff gets an anger moment with Alan next week. Because I'm not even invested in them as a couple and I'm angry on his behalf.
