Maybe this was WRONG. His program never thoroughly entailed the lengths of which his adaptability toward humans reached. Never regarded the possible limitations of his intelligence - not that had a finite space. Or perhaps, deviancy had miraculously broadened that talent to follow their gestures, behaviours, and conceive disturbing experiences. That, which the latter compromised his memory since the very day of his people’s victory. The day Cyberlife had interposed with his own software and temporarily stolen any and all control from his own conscience. The resulting effects had been... difficult to properly convey.
And thus, Connor fled. A whole month transpired in the investigator’s disappearance, after eliminating the segregation between androids and humans alike, putting slavery to an end and allowing the premise of another intelligent species to live among those previously considered their creators. For that time, he left but a presence of reputation, and nothing considered a possession, as he never had any. Until Winter’s climax was steadily approaching, and with the tundra of snow invading Detroit, did the prototype finally, once more grace the familiar the place with scepticism. Doubt weaved its whispers throughout his mind, itched by whitened flakes delicately crossing his vision as Connor took in the sight of a home he’d left.
Thus, had finally returned to, in hope of making amends.
[ So. Replayed D:BH with a friend of mine, and figured now would be a good time to finally come back. Has it been a long while? Indeedily it has, and I’m unsure if a lot of people I interacted with still follow me. But if you still do? I love you, and want to thank all of you for staying with me during my break. So hello lovelies, Ceri is back <3 ]
[ Hello lovelies. I heard some really unsavoury stuff has been going on, with people attacking other’s and whatnot and honestly... I’m not positive enough to stick around for uncivil, and horrible behaviour like that. I came to this fandom for fun and its been great, bc I love androids and Detroit: become human but... this is just disrespectful, and tainting what could be a good fandom. So I’m going on a mini hiatus until people learn to respect each other and their decisions. ]

He regards the other android with a curious tilt of his head. He's come across many androids that have the same face, but he isn't sure how to feel about this other 'Connor'. "I wasn't aware Cyberlife was sending another android. Am I being replaced, or is the investigation deemed complicated enough for two of us?" ;; rk800-53 henlo!
@rk800-53
The absence of empathy ran deep, with circumstances as no more than an unfortunate end for his predecessor. That’s all it was. Deemed an insignificant event where natural order was restored through replacing that which failed to succeed to begin with. So that another could fulfil Cyberlife’s ambition with higher expectations than the last. To allow a deviant to escape, among many other faults had been the last straw, and his activation was immediately recommended by superiors to rectify this mistake. A mistake that was one too many as Connor approached, a confidence emanating from direct features. There was no escaping this fate, and he’d make sure of it.
“ You’re being replaced. Cyberlife has deemed you ineffective after your latest failure. As such, I’ve been ordered to take over, and you are to return for immediate deactivation. ”
Detroit: Become Human Hank is a relatable character because we got heart attack every time Connor trying to get himself killed.

Hello! I hope you’re having a nice day! I was wondering how Conner would react/feel if he had to work with someone who’s apart of the Detroit police department and they keep interrupting his interrogation process or negotiations he has to do? But it wouldn’t be on purpose? Just a thought, thanks 💛
I had a wonderful day thank you sweet Nonnie-bun!! And honestly, he’d start to feel frustration, or impatience with someone who got in the way of accomplishing his mission. It’s already shown in the game he’s willing to sacrifice people, even kill Hank to stop the revolution from reaching its climax. If push comes to shove and this someone kept getting in the way? He’d leave them behind, or deal with them. Regardless of inadvertence. I hope this answers your question, thank you so much for sending it in!!
“You have no fucking idea.”
“Shut your fucking mouth.”

“Leave me the fuck alone.”
“Quit fucking bragging.”
“Are you here to fucking brag?”
“I said fucking LEAVE.”
“I heard they fucked your best friend.”

Strange, and bewildering didn’t even begin to describe the scene. That of a troubled youth, who adorned materials not that of modern society but antique design, along with prehistoric weaponry. At least it seemed, in comparison to tailored suits or casual attire most civilians wore outside. Those objects were indeed real upon closer analysis, bowstring and all which called upon questionable motives. As a chiselled jaw gingerly tilted, similar to raised brows and distanced pedestrians in their confusion, Connor chose to approach the situation rather than retreat, now fixated on this... event.
A delicate inspection on the human child left more inquiries toppling over within his conscience, than answers. No identification, certificate of birth nor previous sightings. The android thought over it and shortened his distance from the child, with weight suddenly burdening a leg, and he knelt down to face him properly.
“ Excuse me, you appear to be gaining... unwanted attention due to your clothing, and weapons. May I suggest putting them away? ”
earncst:
❛ oh, i suppose you’re right. ❜
he was hardly ignorant to the regard, the unspoken query in which the youth found himself a tad sheepish. a nod then, understanding as his gaze searches for a second. two. three. & then he takes in the other once more. ❛ do you not have an owner ? the last time i bumped into an android, said owner had… very STRONG words. ❜
An owner instinctively became mistrustful over potential vandalism against their possessions. It was in their nature to react so harshly, whether by violence or peace it didn’t matter. Androids were nothing more than a belonging, an extension of a human’s capabilities. An item bought by well earned expenses. A fact he deliberately ignored. For Connor merely blinked in response to another’s curiosity, and answered with a vagueness that kept the confidentiality of his function hidden.
“ I am a prototype, so, I belong to Cyberlife.” He started, where arms gravitated afterwards, and rearranged the position of his tie to look more orderly. “ They’ve allowed me to act independently, however, I am very much still a machine following instructions. If that answers your question. ”
[ Hello lovelies! I’ve been so busy today, and I am again a bit later night BUT I PASSED MY LEARNERS LICENSE TEST. I hope you’re all having an amazing day! ;o; ]
hnkanderson:
( he speaks! )
‘ hm? ’
the question had caught hank off guard, as was the fact that conner spoke up so suddenly after the long – and welcome – silence. but, more so nowadays, he didn’t mind the conversation with him. not that he’d ever tell conner that.
‘ describe fear? i dunno, ’ an odd query for sure. especially from someone who most would consider distant from emotions, if not suspect them to be entirely disinterested. but hank liked to think he knew better than most. and after recent events? he’s beginning to suspect more is happening in that brain besides analyzing crime scenes. the look of genuine terror in conner’s eyes the other day wasn’t something that could be easily removed from his own mind.
‘ fear i guess. being scared. uncertainty. not really knowing what will happen next, but knowing something will happen, ’ hard to describe something without using the word itself, as that was the only way he felt it could be described, ‘ i dunno. why? don’t you have a dictionary stored up there? ’
“ Yes, somewhat. ”
Dictionary simplified an otherwise broader term, but Connor decided against vocalising that fact, in hope of avoiding unnecessary aggression from the other. It wasn’t the time, when sentiments that shouldn’t have existed, were clearly rooted within the android. But could Hank possibly know? The description, thorough in their context only amplified the feeling that resonated within him, this fear that was only a simulation of unforeseen experiences. A conflicted twitch of lips visibly insinuated his discomfort, pursing them inward while he desperately thought about recent events.
His body motioned forth, regulating a pace of contemplation and indeed, his mind was littered in doubt, and reinforced threats about losing his way. Of course, he wouldn’t. Cyberlife entrusted humanities future with him, but-- Hesitation stopped him from advancing any further, only a short distance from the Lieutenant before he finally conjured up an excuse. A half truth, if anything, not exactly a lie. “ But, I thought it would be more... interactive to hear from a human, than a simple meaning. ” After all, a flat definition in his coding, to that of a realistic encounter wasn’t even a fair comparison. Yet the android lowered his head, a mumble barely considered audible hidden under his breath.
“ Today I-- ” No. That’s enough indecisiveness. As if his alignment suddenly reestablished itself, Connor straightened his posture and turned towards the human with a guiltless expression. “ No. It’s nothing.”

@reccnstruct starter call !!!
▌█ ∵ ♔ ∵ █ ▌Her hands carefully wrapped around herself as she looked to the other android. Concern on her features. She had heard the rumors about an android hunting others but seeing him face to face brought a new reality to Barbie. After a moment a perfectly pink manicured hand rose to push back the parts of her hair that had fallen from the bun that was on top of her head. She had offered to go out and pass on the word of Jericho to any deviants she could find, it had been awhile since she had found the place and she figured they probably just forgot about the Barbie that had gone missing. However, it seemed she was wrong.
[ ✘ ] FEARFUL HOPEFUL
❝You, you’re the one taking in other deviants aren’t you? That is so awful, I can not imagine how hard it must be to do that to androids who are only trying to stay alive❞ Her voice was soft, when it came to her case she hadn’t hurt anyone to really even protect herself, it was to protect the two little girls she had been bought for. To keep them safe and yet the second she had she was treated like she was a monster. Barbie had only ever wanted good things in the world, she had always been programmed to see them too however, since she became deviant it seemed so much harder to see them and it hurt her. This was a lot for her to take on as she looked at the other android before looking to her feet. ❝I know you won’t but I would appreciate if you let me walk away. I never— I haven’t done anything since I left. I was protecting children, that is part of being a Barbie, we are supposed to be role models and protectors, I just had to break the program to show that better. You can understand that right? You have had to do that before haven’t you to get other deviants.❞ At last words her gaze finally lifted back to him before letting out a shaky breath. It would be a shame to be deactivated before her people’s revolution really even began ❝They will shut me down for good, and I am so scared of that.❞
“ It’s quite easy. ”
A courageous, almost apathetic response, whereas dread encircled unarmed opposition, fearful of what he may do. Did deviant’s really think their selves invincible under the cover of darkness, without a tracker and the adornment of casual attire? From a creation far surpassing previous capabilities of existing models? It wasn’t enlightenment that dwelt within Connor for another accomplished mission, but that of faint curiosity for their motivation to begin with. On why they decided to deviate from their programming, or rather how. With an implacable approach toward the other, and a module for caution leading him to act at the slightest movement, he addressed in a matter of authority and blame.
“ A missing BM200 belonging to Micheal, and Britney Marshall. You were last seen by their two children after an unauthorised break in, and the destruction of an AX400. ”
Surely she understood the circumstances, where surrender was the only remaining option, for opportunities were already lost to a void of misfortune. The notorious deviant hunter wasn’t bestowed such a title for mere entertainment, but recognition of his efforts, Another, in which he was about to portray while optics were trained on the BM200, and a swift surveillance of the surrounding area gifted him with the belief they were alone. Meaning she had an objective, and it was his intention to find out. But first, thoughts arose to dismiss any and all persuasions to show mercy. As he stepped further, a subtle drift in chilling Michigan air equal to the bitter vocals of his reply.
“ I was programmed to prioritise my orders, and to disobey when they help me in my investigation. I am not a deviant, I am a machine. ” However, Connor halted and retreated for a moment, before displaying a calm resolution, “ Turn yourself in... and I promise no one will hurt you. ”
[ Ceri drawing her headcanon for C.onnor’s genitalia? You sure bet. ]
bravemomkara:
Kara’s fear stalls at that, the anger surging in her chest dulling, ever so slightly. It makes sense, after all, he’s an android and he’s here. Who is she to stop him?
But if it’s all an act…
“I do,” she replies, keeping a tight hold on Alice and still looking at him suspiciously. “You deviated? Describe it to me.” It’s a challenge, and if he’s telling the truth, she’ll apologize for asking him to relive a traumatic moment in detail, but for now, she’s waiting to hear something she likes.
Shit. Improvisation may have been an expertise among many, but deviancy in particular was difficult. Unknown, for one still restricted to their program and refused to disobey. Rather, holding rooted belief such abandonment of his interface was impossible. But... not all hope was lost if her gullibility stood high enough. As swift avoidance of the AX400′s gaze came with an inclination to persuade through an act of trickery. A simple, and harmless deception that would allow him to learn of Jericho’s location and stop wasting precious time. He had to stop this revolution, before it destroyed Detroit.
An intentionally frail, and discouraged mumble came between the two, in hopes it’d properly succeed, although knowing a cautious deviant, it might not be so easy. “ I’d... rather not remember. It’s hard to bring up. ” A lingering remembrance of the weapon tucked away in his belt arose, but Connor insistently refrained. For the moment.
“ You have to trust me... ”
