This tweet has changed my life btw
Here’s a guide of what I’ve determined the meanings to be
walking around - self explanatory
fellowship - hanging out with friends
deliciousness - having something tasty
transcendence - feeling that you have reached a different level of some sort; alternatively, when you do one of the other delights to the extreme and feel really good about it. (you know transcendence when it happens)
goofing - having a good laugh at smth
amelioration - working towards the betterment of something, for example, working on a skill you hope to improve
coitus - fuckin’
enthralment - becoming incredibly engaged in something, hyper focusing on something
wildcard - anything that you feel was a delight in your day that does not fit one of the above delights
abled ppl who insist they aren't ableist are actually so chill with eugenics until you call it eugenics
"well offering euthanasia to people with disabilities who can't afford to live is–" eugenics. it's eugenics.
"why do disabled people have children? I mean they're just consigning them to this painful life–" eugenics <3
"but their quality of life is so reduced how can they justify bringing kids into–" ✨eugenics✨
"maybe medicine has advanced too far. I mean why are we keeping people with [insert condition here] alive when their quality of life–" EUGENICS
idc if you're ✨concerned✨ for my ✨quality of life✨ that's a) not your problem and b) something which could be improved by providing better accommodations for disabled ppl and making sure we have to deal with less ableist bullshit and ableist assholes like yourself.

i see reminders to take your meds all the time and thats great but heres your reminder to get your meds refilled! to call your pharmacy! to pick up your refills while the pharmacy is still open! you cant take whats not there, its super important that you stay on top of getting your refills
so true tysm op!!
i wanted to add some pharmacy tips and tricks for ppl who also hate dealing with med refills. probably most ppl know these already, but today's lucky 10000 and all that!
1. just about everything that you can do on a phone call (med refills, transferring prescriptions from one pharmacy to another, checking a prescription status) can be done on the pharmacy website. no talking to a person or a bot necessary!
2. if you have a hard time remembering when to refill your meds, turn on meds autorefills (can be done on pharmacy website)! you won't be billed for meds you don't pick up from the pharmacy, by the way, in case money/insurance is an issue. also, consider signing up for text reminders that your prescription is ready/it's time to refill a prescription. text teminders are lifesavers sometimes for me.
3. there are online pharmacies that deliver 3-month supplies of meds to you! if getting to the pharmacy is hard, or just having to deal with meds refills less often would be awesome, this might be a good option for you! here's one website: https://www.express-scripts.com/corporate/30-and-90-day-pharmacy-networks
4. this is an awesome article about how to refill adhd meds on time and has general advice for dealing with pharmacies. if you have adhd and struggle with meds, i would really recommend making reading this a DO THIS NOW BEFORE I FORGET task, it is short and so worth it.
ADHD medications: Getting Adderall or other meds on time can be a challenge. Here's a guide to navigating pharmacies and insurers.
if nothing else, read this (how to know when to refill meds):
1. Count four weeks (28 days) from the day that you picked [your prescription] up, if you got a month’s supply.
2. Mark the 28th day as “earliest pick-up."
3. Go to the 26th day and mark it as “request day." Day 26 or 27 is the day that you should reach out to either A) your pharmacy to ask them to send a refill request to your doctor (if you’re not having monthly appointments) or B) your doctor, to ask them to send a new prescription. Either way: most doctor’s offices require 72-hour's notice for writing new prescriptions. Use 72 hours as a general rule.
4. You’re marking the 28th day as earliest pick-up because most pharmacies and insurances allow controlled substances to be re-filled up to two days early, for convenience. Be aware that this is considered a privilege which can be taken away at the discretion of your doctor or pharmacist.
5. Add a reminder to your phone, your calendar, your planner, your meds cabinet, for what day to refill your prescription. Text 3 ppl you can rely on (friends, family, executive function coach, anyone) and ask them to remind you to take care of refilling your meds on Day 26, and ask them to take a couple minutes and make sure you do it and don't get distracted.
6. profit.

Your abuser’s trauma does not justifiy them abusing you. Your abuser’s disability does not justify them abusing you. Your abuser’s gender does not justify them abusing you. Your abuser’s illness does not justify them abusing you.
For everyone that needs to hear this: there is nothing you could ever do that’s punishable by abuse, and there is NOTHING anyone could ever say to justify the abuse you experience(d).

I know this isn’t an option for everyone, but in a fair number of states, and with a fair number of insurers, you can get birth control, internal condoms, and plan b mailed right to you by the pill club. I’m getting all three delivered this week and I didn’t even have a copay (and I’m on a basic masshealth-subsidized plan).
LOL link is wrong, though still kinda cool so I’m leaving it
correct link: the pill club
cause of death: too shy to call ambulance
Didn’t want to inconvenience anyone
Someone else might have needed it more
This happens. :(
Bear in mind that ambulance companies aren’t diverting EMTs away from a heart attack or traumatic amputation to answer your call. They’re much more likely to be diverting EMTs from:
Sitting in an ambulance station or a random parking lot playing Words With Friends and/or developing elaborate company-wide romantic intrigues
Sitting in a hospital EMS room doing giant stacks of paperwork no one will ever read while trying to make dinner entirely out of saltines and condiments
Routine transports of people who have to travel by stretcher, who maybe are not happy to be late, but are hardly going to die from it
Transports which are technically emergencies, but are stuff like vomiting or a sprained ankle where the urgency factor is more like “yeah, you should get that seen” than like “STAT CODE RED CODE BLUE CODE POLKA DOT STAT STAT STAT.”
So if you think you might need an ambulance, call one. You are not going to single-handedly take down the EMS system by daring to use it.
I’m reblogging it but I would be that person wondering “Do I need this enough” until I died.
I have legitimately done this. Please, take care of yourselves.
Furthermore, guys, we have dispatch. Dispatch makes sure that we’re all where we need to be, so you’re not taking an ambulance away from someone who “needs it more.”
Let dispatch worry if an ambulance needs to be somewhere else. You just worry about taking care of yourself.
Most of them time we’re passing the time at the station by trying to find where the firefighters hid the remote /this time/ and listening to scary stories on YouTube. Your safety and health is not an inconvenience.
