Opinion + Hinahoho

“Hinahoho is a great man. He’s kind-hearted and strong, and he’s an amazing father to his children. There are few things he wouldn’t do for Kikiriku and the others. He’s... perhaps the closest thing I’ve ever known to a proper father figure myself as well. Though I’m not quite sure he adopted me in the same sense that Rurumu did, he didn’t seem to mind the way she welcomed me into their family. He acknowledged me as Kikiriku’s elder brother, even when I was still struggling to understand that Rurumu truly did see me as her child. He’s always been there, willing to help or give me advice whenever the need arises, and for that I am very grateful."

I have a few things to do right now, but after I’m done with all of that the rest of today will likely be devoted to emptying out my inbox. My new blog is just about done so after my ask box is cleaned out I will be moving and continuing threads on there. “The Princess, hm? Initially I viewed her with caution, especially considering the hostility she held towards Sin. I... admittedly was not a fan of how ungrateful she seemed to be, even after he was kind enough to take her and the others in, despite supposedly being her enemy. It angered me, and more than once I had to be stopped from giving her a piece of my mind. 

“Now though I have come to realize she is quite something. Strong, intelligent, and fierce, with a streak of perseverance that many would envy... She is truly worthy of the nickname of a ‘poisonous spider’, and even having seen her kinder side, I would hate to be on her bad side.”

“Excluding Sharkan and Yamuraiha much of the time, that is true. But that doesn’t mean we can’t think highly of one of our own, does it? And regardless of how different you believe yourself to be, Drakon, it doesn’t change the fact that you are an admirable man-and I know I am not the only one among us to think so.”

“I am a bit ashamed to admit it now, but... when I first met Drakon, in all honestly, I hated him. It was nothing personal, but at that time I hated anyone who was born into a high ranked family... I suppose, on some level, I may have been jealous, due to the circumstances of my own birth. The fact that at first he acted like some spoiled noble brat who expected everyone to do as he said just because of his last name didn’t especially help, either.

“It wasn’t until after he joined us again in Reim that I saw the true Drakon, and since then I must say he is far from what my past self thought him to be. I have come to admire greatly over the years, though I know he may not realize it. He is a loyal, caring man that would truly do anything for those he cares. He is extremely strong, both in body and in heart, and I feel myself and the others are lucky to have him as a comrade as well as a friend."

“I have not known Sera for very long, but I think she is a very sweet and caring young woman. She’s good company, and I have come to enjoy talking to her quite a bit whenever the opportunity happens to arise-though, I do find I wish that that wasn’t so often under such... questionable or ridiculous circumstances as it so often seems to be. I am also quite grateful for the meals and treats she will sometimes bring to my office, even if I may not have had the chance to thank her properly for a majority of those.”

Ja’far gave a small start, the feel of those small arms wrapping around his waist far from what he was expecting. When had someone else even entered the palace’s garden? 

Glancing back at the small figure though, he soon felt a soft smile gracing his lips as green hues came to rest on the small girl’s frame, even as he felt a twinge of concern make itself known. “Well, hello little one,” he greeted warmly, “Are you alright?”
