And Will's love for Mike was just a crush, just this tiny ibbity crush that had to span 3 whole seasons only to prompt Mike's empty, self-centered confession to El. Prompted by a beautiful painting Will had poured his soul into that (despite having been heavily marketed) will NEVER be adressed ! But it was just a crush, you guys </3 Couldn't you infer that from Will's heartfelt speech in the back of that godforsaken van ?
I guess her really did find Byler funny at all ! Because isn't it funny to make Will's storyline revolve around a love that was NEVER going to happen ? Don't you feel represented ? Appreciated ? Respected ? When we could have wrapped that shit up SO MUCH earlier and give him a proper storyline ?

I don't wonder why she divorced you, but I do wonder if it is not people like her, and maybe some other people in that writers room, and costume departement, and sound departement, and set design departement, etc, that managed to keep this boat afloat for as long as it had without it showing its true colors much more clearly, much more early.
Here is my timeline of the last 3 and half years :
Scrip writing started somewhere around end of September/October 2022. The SAGAFTRA strikes spanned all the way from July 14th to November 9th 2023. I'm assuming you guys were writing from October to July. I'm assuming you resumed writing then, and production finally kicked into gear in January 2024.
We know two things : the date of one table read (EP4) on December 6th 2023, and the fact that only the first 6 episodes had been written by the time that table reads happened. Your wife filed for divorce in February 2024, but I doubt this was when you found out yourself, so who knows, maybe it affected the writing of episodes earlier than E7 and E8. I'm guessing you had to know earlier than february unless she surprised you with it. Regardless, there is one thing that I can infer almost FOR SURE from it : that the last 2/1 and a half episodes were written post divorce. Something tells me it started to affect the story a bit earlier than that.
Maybe your wife was too woke for you. Maybe you were not woke enough for her. Either way, I think SEVERAL PEOPLE were playing you twins' asses like a fiddle because HOW are there SO many signs pointing in the one single direction this show went the OPPOSITE of at the very last seconds/episodes. How does it feel like the epilogue is mocking itself, with the perfect lighting and slicked back haircuts, and Robin in frilly blouses, and the prisoner jumpsuit coded robes. Why does it feel like it is mocking its own extremely ironic-ly conformist ending ? Maybe this is just taking revenge on the many times I'm sure you and your ex wife, as the film nerds that you are, were discussing the meanings, parallels and allegories in the films you watched together and she annoyed you, as you quietly thought that she was stupid and was "just making noise" for "looking into things too much". For caring. Do you know that word, caring ? About things. Anything.
I don't know. Maybe that was queerbait. Maybe it was actually going in the direction it was CLEARLY aiming for for years and you chickened out last minute, or felt like you needed revenge, or something. Maybe you are so stupid and your heads are so empty you don't even realize just how insanely self-contradictory and inconsistent your show is because someone sabotaged as best they could your inceler things story right under your noses and you never realized.
I'm inclined to believe in my last theory, because if there is anything I am getting out of all those interviews you have been giving since the finale, it's that there is really not much going on behind those eyes.

On my first yellowjackets watch I cried when Natalie drew the queen... and then cried when shauna drew the queen.... and cried when javi died.... and then cried some more when Natalie died... I cried a lot

When the clothes come off she's no longer feeling anything. They fumble around and don't have the same energy as they did when Jeff was wearing green. I take this to represent how Shauna didn't want an actual relationship with Jeff she just wanted Jackie, and getting Jeff was the closest she got to Jackie.
No green clothes first meeting. She doesn't "feel" anything with Adam and mainly cheated on him to get back at Jeff (the one with green clothes) I also think she was looking for the thrill she received from Jeff
His clothes are clearly blue, but once Shauna hurts him he's moved into lighting that makes him green
We see the green again when it comes to Jackie and Jeff
