I’m like. 90% sure they put Book with Leafy in BFDIA 25 because of the Book and Pencil TPOT 17 parallels. Cause like in BFDIA Book is putting her whole trust into Leafy and fully believing she can get better but Leafy fully believes that it’s not her fault and her stubbornness in keeping the Dream Island certificate even though the island is far gone by now parallels Pencil still holding onto FreeSmart because she doesn’t want confirmation it ended and wants to stay in the far gone past forever cause she doesn’t want to face reality. And both times Book leaves them alone. Leafy for her own sake as she still believes she CAN change but just to do it away from everyone else and for her safety. And Pencil because she believes she CAN’T change. She’s refused it in her mind and she just..doesn’t care anymore. She doesn’t want to be around her anymore so she leaves.

Honestly? I don't want to exaggerate, because Soul Jams aren't "creatures," but rather entities, so I'm not surprised they lack much empathy and focus on their mission. But they're still manipulative and cruel, especially the Soul Jams of Knowledge and Solidarity, because WTF.

What did Shadow Milk and White Lily do to deserve this?

The Light of Deceit manipulated, ridiculed, and downright tormented Shamil, sending him a dream in which it forced him to relive moments in his past, constantly reminding him of the hell he had been through, preventing him from breaking free from the cycle of misery and despair he had found himself in.

Shamil knows he's doing wrong, that he's only hurting himself, but he keeps lying to himself. He clings to the lies because he needs control over the situation. He can't handle the truth about himself. He's afraid to face the truth because he's afraid it will destroy him, but deceit is also slowly destroying his psyche and driving him insane. How can he redeem himself if his own soul jam turns him away from that path? How can the Beasts understand their mistakes if they're being fed with lies and manipulation?

The Soul Jams stayed silent when they needed help. And what they did to Lily is simply disgusting.

When I first watched it, it looked like the Light of Freedom wanted to help Lily... Heh... But we were naive...

She wanted her to take a step to gain hope for cookiekind... Wait...

SHE PLANNED HER DEATH SO SHE COULD BREAK FREE FROM HER OWNERS AND GAIN HER OWN FORM. She manipulated Lily into sacrificing herself for others and used her love for Cookiekind against her. THAT BI-

And now she wants to take GingerBrave (a possible soul jam of hope) to the witches? WHY, GINGERBRAVE, DON'T LISTEN TO THIS PSYCHO.

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong and the Soul Jams mean well, but the way they treated the Beasts as their "vessels", the way Light of Deceit manipulated and humiliated Shamil, and the way Light of Solidarity talked about gaining their own form and stopping being just lights, tells me otherwise.

That Shadow Milk is a parallel to Lily and Silent Salt to Pure Vanilla is VERY heavily implied, especially after recent episodes. But also the fact that they see themselves in their "other halves", and treat themselves in a similar way as they would treat them.

So when WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?

I always knew he saw Salt in PVC. Not only does he wear black, but their demeanor is also similar. Self-hatred, the feeling that they must be the ones to save everyone, and despite corruption, resistance to evil. THAT'S WHY PV's betrayal hit him so hard. He'd been through this before.

Ash Salt Cookie is 99% related to Lily and Stabbie. There are two possibilities (in my opinion).

1. She emerged as the inverse of the Beacon of Hope, as Shamil mentions her as an "empty shell" and the BOH may be hers missing "soul." Shadow found her and took her in.

2. The second option is crazier and I like it better. Ash Salt Cookie is Lily's reincarnation. Think about it, in her animation, behind her is the corrupted Silver Tree by Shamil, so she's connected to that place. She could have been reborn there. You know who else was reborn in that place?

Considering this is Shamil's twisted version, it makes sense. Elder Faire is in the tree, and Lily was born but as something else. There's just one small problem. Lily couldn't resurrect herself on her own. In the original, it was EFC's sacrifice that brought her back. And this is where I'm absolutely crazy. What if Shamil took some life power from Salt from another dimension and resurrected her with it? He's definitely connected to her, and considering his hatred for him, I wouldn't be surprised he'd want to corrupt the person he cared so much about.

The "No memories, no dough". Should she have any memories then? Not to mention she looks like Lily, in a Salt-themed outfit.

I find it really funny that One latched onto Pencil as being a menace, when like, Flower exists. From watching BFDI I find it more likely she would have latched on to Flower, or even Leafy if she’d seen the end of BFDI (which she probably didn’t because she didn’t know about Leafy being alone for so long). I wonder if it’s because pencil zapping all those people was her FIRST taste of the show before she learned about recovery centers. So, the impression that Pencil was a killer who killed those objects permanently just stuck in her mind even once she learned about them, since One herself has such a… complicated relationship with murder.
