The picture on the left is two days after I gave birth and the one on the right is exactly 7 months after my boy was born. After having a baby 7 months ago I have been struggling with my body and accepting the new normal. Before my little love came into the world I had time to spend a couple hours in the gym and not feel stressed about house work or making sure dinner got made. I can say I am eating well like I did when I lost weight initially but it's very slow to come off. My focus is strength not weight loss. I WILL be able to do 100 push ups in one setting (albeit 10 sets of 10 but whatever). Been able to do 9 sets so far! I WILL be able to do 132 flights of stairs in three sets again. Already at 70 flights. I WILL be able to do an unassisted pull up. I'm already at 80 lbs, down from 110 when I got my gym membership. I WILL challenge myself to do more bodyweight workouts and build up my core strength to what it was before my c section! I'm already able to do a couple sets of leg lifts using the Roman chair! My mindset being set towards strength will only inspire me to pursue more and more. My nutrition goals are to eat mindfully and put an emphasis on the foods that make me feel satisfied within my macros. I've got the love of my beautiful husband to help and support my efforts so I know I can do this. I gained 60 lbs while pregnant and I'm already down 38. I have lost weight before and I can do it again damnit! Having bad SI joint pain really helped pack on the lbs but I'm glad I'm able to get in the gym and get after it. I will do this.
