Why does no one talk about Deacon more?
Like, his whole character is so good and all I hear isĀ āuwu why canāt I romance hiiimmmm hnnnggg.ā
Deacon is so messed up from his past that itās hard for him to stop lying, itās not like he enjoys it. He wishes he could tell the truth to save himself and others.
Deacon was in a synth hating gang (U.P Deathclaws).
Deacon had a wife (supposedly named Barbara) who was a synth and was killed by his former gang. At random points while wandering and you come across tranquil scenery he saysĀ āShe would have liked this.ā as if the raw beauty of the wasteland remind him or her.
Deacon has never had a real friend before and adores the SoSu .
Has had tons of facial reconstruction surgeries, talks about being a ghoul and a female once.
Was a solider in the west at one point. (Enclave of NCR) [although he could be lying.]
Knows all about the happenings of Fallout 3, likes the old BOS but not the New BOS.
Deeply appreciates that the SoSu puts up with his bullshit, and that they like him for who he is despite his flaws.
Deacon really wanted/wants kids.
Feels as if he doesnāt deserve to be in the Railroad and feels as if he is whats wrong with the Commonwealth.
Joined/Help found the Railroad after his synth wife was murdered, because he wanted to protect other synths because he couldnāt protect the one he loved.
Knew about the Institutes scheming much before anyone else a knew the SoSu was an important asset.
Fascinated with the SoSU, waited outside Vault 111 for them to emerge and followed them around the Commonwealth to make sure they made good choices.

Heās really funny and has an amazing sense of sarcastic humour
Heās really underappreciated in my opinion and is my second favorite male companion! Romancable or not hes fantastic.
