Dump for one of my newest Next Gen children, Prince Nocturne!

Prince Nocturne is the eldest son of Princess Luna and Lord Sombra, and the crowned heir to take his mother’s spot when she no longer can rule.  Silent and stoic, Nocturne only speaks when he feels the necessity to–often his words are profound.  However, the fuse of his temper is short and he’s easily angered if provoked–and if provoked enough he may wield the dark magic he’s atoned to due to his father.

Prince Eclipse is also featured since I needed to redraw him!  and I also made them alicorns for the heck of it.  THEY ARE THE PRETTIEST OF PRINCESSES

I love this part. :D

A: One of the things I always enjoyed about King Sombra (as a villain) is that he’s genre-savvy. That trait carried over to Mirror Sombra, tenfold. He doesn’t trust Mirror Celestia and knows very well what she’s clearly planning if he accepts her offer. It’s a very typical villain tactic, to hit where it hurts, but he doesn’t fall into it. I just love how he responds with “Of course”, like it’s the very obvious answer. And it is! Plus, his facial expression is just perfect. XD It’s hilarious because of how serious it is. Like, “You seriously think I would agree to that obviously evil plan?”

B: Rainbow Dash’s reaction. XD I just love how SHE is the one to be all “WHY?!” like that. Like somehow the answer is ridiculous, like why wouldn’t you take the chance to be with the one you love? Yes, the reaction itself is funny, but the fact it’s RAINBOW makes it funnier. She was the one, who not a few pages and panels ago, was complaining about their romance’s “mushy” backstory. I’d have expected another of the Main Six to have this reaction, like Rarity or even Pinkie! XD But Rainbow? I don’t know, it’s just funny to me. :P

New lineart style for ze blog(once I get the computer parts I will be able to colour once again) I found my old style to be too stiff so I opted for a more cartoony look. No updates for a bit till I get the parts I need to get my computer ship-shape so here’s a few doodles/practice I got in before my computer decided to go kapoot. Bottom right Sombra fully encapsulates my feelings about my computer.

This was one of my favourite moments in the entire Reflections comic. For one thing, it makes me laugh. Celestia doing a spit-take, Sombra just wiping his face like nothing happened, Starswirl being a goofball, and of course… the freaking doofus thought bubble! Combined with her facehoofing, it makes me laugh every time I see it.

Plus, it’s so cute. It’s the very start of Sombra and Celestia’s bond, and it works really nicely.  He’s flirting with her and she’s very flattered by it, hence the reason she did a spit-take. XD Her shy, sweet smile and his tender eyes are just… d’awww, they say it all! <3

Starswirl is one of my favourite characters in this comic, I love how he’s a combination of Twilight and Pinkie. XD He’s such a goof!
