Yep. Once he knew, the flirting would stop. Some people like to see him as an unstoppable sex maniac, unable to control himself. But show me one case in canon of him doing anything that isn’t consensual sex. And if he’s in an actual relationship, he may flirt, he may even get numbers, but he doesn’t cheat.

Since the Doctor and the Master always have to be enemies for the concept to work, I assume the Master will one day return (because they never die), being totally pissed the Doctor didn’t even notice they were gone & they’re back to enemies again. It kinda fits. The Doctor was always careless when it came to the Master’s well-being while caring for basically EVERYTHING else and the Master was always a jealous prick who resented their carelessness.

The Master’s pace was doing the Doctor no favors.  Then again, that seemed to be the point of most of this.  The Master was intent on keeping the Doctor too busy to fall into his usual malaise of apathy and self-loathing, it seemed.  And, annoyingly enough, it seemed to be working.  The little creatures were quite interesting.  The Doctor never had been able to resist a good adventure.

He followed the Master down the steep steps, taking in the sight below and above him.  It was still frigid in the cavern, but no where near what it had been on the surface.  He did wonder how this had gotten down here.  It seemed odd that there should be a layer of ice over an empty space like this.  He didn’t ask, though, just watched the way the light reflected off of the crystal surfaces of the room.

“What passes for food around here?” he asked, hoping he wouldn’t regret the question.  Still, Caprania wasn’t exactly known for its fauna or edible plant life.  Or for any life at all, for that matter.  So the Doctor did have to wonder.

“Mostly? Rocks.” He gave the Doctor a darkly amused look, spreading his hands and gesturing around them. “This is, after all, Caprania, which is rather a land of ice, dirt, and little else, correct?” 

Still, what he was making a direct path for didn’t seem to resemble rocks of any fashion, far too soft. “Though there are some creatures deeper near the core of the planet that the locals farm for their meat. Those are what I intend to feed you. I don’t imagine more than crystal dust would do very well for you.”

Then again, his own attempt to try other food options had been distinctly unpleasant and the goal was to put the man in mind of things that weren’t. For now.

Does no one see how homophobic Doctor/Master has become? What has been traditionally one of the oldest gay fandom ships now becomes totally acceptable in canon because it's either het or *lesbian titillation*. We will NEVER see a gay canon Doctor/Master because gay men are less acceptable than lesbians are. And all current Doctor/Master shippers can do is squee about "our ship is canon now!!!" I mean who cares that they threw gay D/M under the bus or made gay D/M fans unwelcome to do so.

In the episodes the doctor also clearly states that he had a man-crush (which is basically love confession) on the master, when they were younger.

so yes.Im sorry that i cant agree with you, seeing as ‘gay’ is a paring of two people of the same gender… which is what missy and 13 technically are… if they were even lesbians… but they are technically pan-sexuals.

You’re calling Doctor/Master ’homophobic’ but yet making a statement about - I’m going to ignore how you worded it - about lesbians in the same sentence that erases lesbians from the homosexual community, which is upsetting. I, like my friend above, also believe the word ‘gay’ can be used for both m/m and w/w relationships or ships, and often use 'gay’ rather than 'lesbian’ when discussing my sexuality.

The word ’homosexual’ refers to anyone who experiences attraction solely towards people of the same sex. Not just in the case of men. If Doctor/Master was truly homophobic, only so-called 'straight’ relationships would be written and represented.

And I might (just) be able to take the point about wlw being more 'accepted’ and thus prevalent in media.

However, as a young lesbian woman, I notice that these relationships can be incredibly sexualised in their portrayal. Not to mention the massive issue of queerbaiting. There have been so many shows (Riverdale and Agent Carter being the first two to come to mind) in which a possible relationship has been put forward between two women (such as the Beronica and Carterwood kisses) and I had been excited to see representation. However, usually nothing comes of it and the excuse of 'drama’ is used. Which is difficult.

I completely support TenSimm, Three/Delgado!Master etc. I also completely support ships like Twelve/Missy and ThirteenSimm. I also completely support Thirteen/Missy. I SUPPORT THE DOCTOR AND THE MASTER. THE GENDER THEY PRESENT AS DOES NOT MATTER TO ME.

Who they are in terms of personality and soul, the intricacies and fundamentals that REMAIN CONSTANT despite how the bodies that hold them change, is what is truly important. They are two ancient souls, hopelessly intertwined. Every Master loves every Doctor, and every Doctor loves every Master. Is it really so hard to grasp?!

Not to mention, as mentioned above, the Doctor and the Master are pansexual and genderqueer. It is canon that the same 'genders’ that attempt to categorise humans are not found in Time Lord society.

Whether they choose to be in relationships with men or women (Rose, Lucy, Jack) their sexuality DOES NOT CHANGE dependent on their choice of partner. They do not see gender as something important. And as a Doctor/Master shipper, I don’t either.
