Of course they don’t like Milly Alcock’s Supergirl. She’s a grown ass woman with zero love interests who spends the movie saving her dog, casually dismantling a sex trafficking ring while she’s at it, and preaching the importance of being good, not nice or smiley or cheerful but good. I for one adored the movie and I really hope I’ll get to see more of Alcock’s Supergirl she’s now my favorite iteration of her and I love her so dearly.

you started off as best friends. while being paired up together for a mission in his universe, he'd noticed that your eyes had been lingering on one of the jewelry booths at the market (mid-combat, he'd asked, "oh, yeah! do you want to- ow! go check out the market once this is over?")
this turned into a tradition---walking down the streets of mumbattan with a bag in hand for jewelry, and armfuls of treats that you hadn't been able to try at your universe
if you ever have a tricky time debating what to buy at the store, he'll ask you to hold the crystals up to your face and analyze which colors match your tone best
these hangout sessions go on for a few months before he decides to extend pavitr-and-star-sessions to the cafe
he'll make sure to read the menu out loud in case your prescription for your glasses are still a work-in-progress (he loves your glasses btw. versace frames are so cool.)
and this man is an active listener. you mention off-handedly once that you want a butterfly tattoo on your hip---and the next thing you know, he's ready to design it with henna
he also just loves listening to you talk. your self-aware nature paired with your open-minded attitude never fails to make him feel at ease---he knows he talks a lot, but he never feels like he has to filter what he says around you
and don't worry about feeling shy in public spaces. he'll do the talking for you (unless he picks up on the fact that you want otherwise), but the talking can range anywhere from filling up awkward silence to standing up for you if someone's being rude
during especially tough academic seasons, he'll support you with small, opaline trinkets from the market. he'll have a matching keychain on his bag.
and while pavitr is many things, he isn't a dry texter. this man texts with caps lock, gifs, memes, emoticons, the whole gist---he responds quickly and attentively, taking time to respond to each individual message you send

while your relationship with suki began with her training your combat skills, it turned into both of you oversharing more than you have in your entire lives. she's not sure if the breathlessness she feels is from you or the combat sessions.

suki's love is gentle, but not passive. her love doesn't come with an asterisk expecting your undying devotion to her in return. she just wants to see you happy. it's an unconditional kind of love that comes in the form of gentle kisses to your brows, her helping you style your hair on mornings when you just can't seem to blink the sleep out of your eyes, the kind of love that comes with her heading to the market just to see if she can buy you both matching jewlery
and if you reciprocate it? she falls in love with you all over again. the gaang has truly never seen her more giddy

no one stands up for you louder than suki does. she finds the middle-ground between being protective and overbearing, and while she always wants you to feel safe, she never wants you to feel suffocated
but lucky for her, your craving for connection also makes finding that middle-ground easy. your anxious attachment is something she's willing to help you work through---gentle reassurances, grounding exercises, weekly dates. she doesn't want the relationship to become codependent, so she makes sure that you also have time to yourself to just exist with your own thoughts
when it comes to tackling passivity, she never meets your troubles with judgement. her first priority is making sure you feel safe enough to talk about your struggles out-loud, then pairs your self-aware nature with her analytical skills to find ways to tackle the problem at hand

wait i watched supergirl yesterday (it released earlier in some theatres in korea) and i had an incredible time and i have no clue where the negative reviews are coming from?? i enjoyed it surprisingly more than i did the superman movie bc the pacing + characterizations + relationships made in the movie were all fantastic. it gives a really solid message for hope and FINALLY GIVES US the mentor + kid dynamic between two women!! kara was allowed to be gross in the best way, she was allowed to be funny, sarcastic, an asshole, but also INCREDIBLY likable. i loved this movie.
my ex used to get pissed off every time i showed them this video they would be like "that's not how a train works" really angrily and storm out of the room

being a part of the spider society wasn't anywhere remotely his cup of tea, but being around you? that was an entirely different story
he's a perceptive and cynical person. hobie likes to initially assess newcomers at face-value, and then slowly start peeling back the layers of a person through silent observation to come to a final conclusion about the kind of person they are
to say he had a tough time figuring you out would be a wild understatement. you're kind, first of all--you have a beautiful light about you. it shines whenever you look after miles' injuries as though he were your little brother, when you check in on gwen about her day, when you offer to make dolls for the younger spider-people coming into the society. but simultaneously, you're quick to snap at miguel on miles' behalf when he's acting irrational, even quicker to zero-in on a mission, and the quickest to spontaneously swing around spider society for the hell of it
you became close companions through these spontaneous swing sessions. you don't waste energy in putting up a guard about you, and neither does he. it's refreshing to be able to hang out with you
though your conversations started off relatively surface-level---chats about settling in, your home universes---over the course of a few months, the conversations turned into a combination of complaints about miguel and your perspectives on the foundations of which the spider-society was built in the first place
he loves how incredibly artistic you are. he hopped universes to watch one of the dance recitals you had been practicing for (for several hours on end)---while he wasn't huge on romantic gestures at first, you best believe after seeing your ballet performance he was bringing flowers of admiration to every show afterward. he's yet to miss a single one, and you're starting to think that he knows your rehearsal schedule better than you do
seeing the way your dance affects your technicality while swinging through the city is nothing short of rewarding. every mission---as you tumble and twirl through the air with grace---makes him itch to buy you flowers all over again. since when was he one to buy his loved ones flowers?

his love is selfless. he's observant. he doesn't want to make you feel suffocated or smothered---but he does want you to know that he cares deeply enough about your well-being, first and foremost

so, so many beautiful and silent moments with him. leaning on his shoulder while looking out the window. him wordlessly stepping outside with an umbrella to offer you shade while you tend to the plants (then he crouches beside you to help, of course). listening to music vinyls. him reading your favorite works out-loud to you before bed. quiet sunday mornings.
he's there to celebrate you loudly though, don't forget that. he cheers you on the loudest after listening to one of your ballads, claps the most boldly after your puppeteer shows
