Professor Peach, I got a real big problem on my hands. The seal on my faithful partner Golurk's chest is starting to weaken. He keeps assuring me it's nothing to worry about, but every time he tries to battle, he has to hold it on with one hand. Yesterday he blew a hole in a wall in front of him. I've had to keep him in his Pokeball for now, but I fear if I don't find a way to fix it soon, he'll level a city block and die. Do you know if there is there anything I can do?
You need to get that boi to either a professor or a hospital, they can stabilise the seal, find the cause of the problem, and help you both to recover and also know how to avoid this in the future.
Golurk is a pokemon I have only rarely been lucky to deal with, each time was exactly the same, seal broken, damaged or fully gone. It takes a ceremony, about 10 siglyph, and a lot of time to perform the repair, but it certainly has to happen otherwise you’re right, he could demolish a lot in a short time.
Why this happened comes down to a few thing, first of all, the most common one, training. Training these Pokémon is a delicate balancing act, grow too fast and they put strain in the seal that otherwise can adjust to a steady incline of power. Alternatively you can train them for defence, which channels a lot of their core energy to strengthening their body and again, the pressure on the seal is dispersed and not just building in its core.
Another reason can be because of an injury, gained during battle or just accident. I’ve seen a Pokémon use a move strong enough to remove the seal entirely, and let me tell you it was not an easy fix. My whole team took a beating, me included. You’re wise to keep him in his pokeball for now, it won’t be for long.
If you can’t find anyone else to do the job, we can here at the lab, but it must be done soon dear, for the safety of everyone. Once that seal comes off, it’s a matter of time before they can’t control their own power, destroy everything around them, and then the power dies out, and so do they.
The procedure he will need is relatively successful, we’ve certainly not heard of a professor or nurse to lose one during what is essentially a spiritual surgery. It’s a very calm process and requires a days work, but certainly isn’t something to worry over. Be brave, you two will be just fine.
