So many games, so many remakes, so many lords!! Which one is which?? If you've ever asked yourself this question when boggling over Marths and "You may call me Marth"s, then this post is for you.
This post lists every Fire Emblem game in chronological* order (*with exception for remakes), and includes key details such as main/notable characters, settings, and systems. As the S&S Archive expands, I will add hyperlinks to more in-depth posts, such as character breakdowns, etc. So, without further ado~
1. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (1990)
Most accessible version/remake: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (Nintendo DS, 2008)
Notable Character Introductions: Marth, Caeda, Elice, Minerva, Tiki
Most accessible version/remake: Nintendo 3DS original releases (note: separate cartridges for Conquest and Birthright paths; the Revelations game was a DSi Shop/DS eShop download, and I am still trying to recover it since its death in 2023)

Also another note, in Shez’s C-support with Felix in Three Hopes, Shez confronts Felix about caring about his friends more than he lets on and it goes like this:
Shez: so how come you stick to the sides when Dimitri plows forward in battle
Felix: bc he’s a boar and gets tunnel vision so ik he’ll be all right but I watch the sides
Shez: but with Ingrid you run forward instead
Felix: bc her Pegasus is vulnerable to archers so I have to cut them down first, duh
Shez: and with Sylvain you stay right by his side
Felix: because he’s reckless, but he can fight himself out of any bind he gets into and I need to be with him for that
Shez: u care
Felix: nuh uh I’m just smart
Shez: mhm (you’re gay)
Anyways @soup-for-ghosts your comment about how the Sylvix supports highlighting Sylvain’s disregard for himself just made me think about how it’s something that Felix is constantly thinking about too. Anyways. rotating them in my brain
one of my resolutions was to get back into sketching/drawing this year, so it’s only appropriate that my first return doodle is my beloved boy sylvain jose
I love Lukas (Fire Emblem Echoes) so much you guys. Like ... He's so good???? He just, he does his fucking best and his best and is actually very good; but he's also very good at very quickly adapting to situations, more so than like... 90% of the other characters. Mycen isn't home and won't join the Deliverance but his grandson and said grandsons friends will? Sure, that's totally fine. Clive passing on leadership to Alm very suddenly and pissing off Fernand in the process? Yeah that's reasonable, Lukas will just be an advisor to Alm as well still, like he has been on the march to the Deliverances hideout. Clive seemingly starts to falter in his belief in Alm? Well Lukas doesn't really give a shit if Alm is actually Mycens grandson or not, he's proven himself regardless, so he's gonna keep on supporting Alm - even when he recruits Rigelians and goes "out of their way" to rescue a captured village girl - because Alm truly believes in trying to save everyone regardless of birth and Lukas can get behind that.
And even towards the end of the game! He just adapta and remains I think such a true and constant presence for Alm! Cause like, oh, Alm is actually the prince of Rigel? Well, we still have things to do and battles to fight so Lukas still fights alongside him. And his end game dialogue against Duma??? My man was just absolutely ready to fuck some shit up and remain exceedingly calm in the process.
I just wish so badly that Lukas and Alm had an actual support chain!!! They deserved it!! And tbh I think Alm had a little bit better of an understanding of Lukas compared to Clive - at the very least, I don't think Alm would've called Lukas a "cold observer to keep him in line". I know that gets addressed later in the supports between Lukas and Clive but it still rankles me a little bit.
Anywho. I love Lukas so much. He deserves all the love
just finished replaying sacred stones all the way through once again… every time this game rips my heart out so well… fe8 you will always be my favorite…
