Writing supporting casts is literally so annoying because it's always the same cycle for me.
I create a diverse main cast of characters I really like, but to write a full story about them, I need a supporting cast
I create roles for the supporting characters, spaces that need to be filled with a person
I open a random name generator to create a character and reverse-engineer details based on the names
Wait why are all the names white names
Here we go again! this time we are looking at all the fabulous supporting characters of dbda - some heroes, some villains! We have them all :) The line up includes Maxine, Tragic Mick, Simon, David the Demon, as well as some surprise appearances (you'll see!)... as always, you have 24 hours, so let's goooooo!!

Matthew Faith (he/him). 34. Head of Faith Industries, a futuristic medtech company renowned for creating new, cutting-edge treatments for various diseases. Inherited the company from his father, Mark. You’ve known him since you were a child.
Dr. Daria Drift (she/her). 31. Doctor at Fountainfell Hospital and a prodigy at all things medicine. Once a brilliant independent scientist, she now heads the Medical Research Wing of Advent City’s premier hospital.
Marisol Aguirre (she/her) [orphan route]. 46. Your caretaker and stand-in mother. For years, she’s looked after you as if you were her own. She made a promise to your parents to protect you years ago, and she sure as hell will make sure it lasts.
Aspen Adika (they/them) [acquired route]. The 15 year old kid next door, who you’ve struck an unlikely but steel-strong friendship with. Shy but surprisingly perceptive for their age. They think the world of you; better not prove them wrong.
Feroz Firdaus (he/him) [innate route]. 37. Technically your boss, but he’s so cheery and sweet that anyone would mistake him for a coworker. He believes in your ability to make a great ascension in your career. If only he knew where your real priorities were.
** additional facts (and some important info) about the supporting cast can be found here!
“Black Panther Wakanda Forever” has a supporting cast of actors and actresses, without whom the story may not have been as effective. Sure, our main leads and the secondary characters are cool and awesome, and the story is amazing, but it’s people like the ones above who play small but very important roles in the story.
Having a young boy witness the trauma of his people be subject to horrors no child should be privy to, and hold on to that fear and rage with a grip so tight it transforms into vengeance that burns within a god-king hell-bent on protecting his people… little Manuel Chavez may not have been onscreen long, but his presence very much informed the charismatic K’uk’ulkan who is both filled with rage and kindness in equal measure.
Like Manuel, Irma-Estel LaGuerre and María Mercedes Coroy may not have been onscreen much, but their portrayal of a mother who, for the sake of her unborn son, must ingest a concoction to save both her and her people from the raging fires of colonialism resonates with many. In the film, K’uk’ulkan wonders what it is like to be a people in a pristine land who never have to leave. His mother loved him, cared for him, and wished for him to bury her in the land she loved so much, even if it was being desecrated by people who most certainly did not belong there to begin with. LaGuerre and Coroy portrayed a woman who had so much love to give, yet lost so much; it is to nobody’s surprise that her son adopted the name “Namor”, itself shortened from “el niño sin amor”, the child without love.
Without Josué Maychi, there may well not have been the inclusion of the Yucatec Mayan language in the film. Maychi’s role as the shaman who was guided by a god to retrieve a plant grown in Vibranium-rich soil to heal his smallpox-afflicted people is very important to the story, as without him, Talokan is as good as nonexistent. It is thanks to the shaman that Talokan was able to thrive as we see it do in the film.
María Telón Soc portrays a Mayan elder in the film. Her role, though small, is crucial as she is one of the guiding forces who help convince K’uk’ulkan mother to ingest the herbal drink to save her and her unborn son. Like the other actors and actresses mentioned above, she may not have been onscreen for long, but her presence informs the decisions we see the other Mayan-Talokanil make.
Mystical Unity Villains and Supporting Cast! 🖤 . . . I decided to share these profiles together since they’re quite self-explanatory. Just like the main group, everyone comes in a trio: three magical girls, three villains, and three supporting characters.
The villains are planning to destroy Earth and take over an alternate world for their queen(?) The problem…the kingdom they’re now planning to control won’t budge their advances. So, they have a princess in their captivity to finally take control of their target. Slane is the muscle, Lynx is the strategist, and Discord is the leader. What shenanigans are they up to? Who knows!
The supporting cast consists of their fairy mascot, Yoshi, their mentor and master of alchemy, John, and the princess the Unities have to save and who the villains keep captive, the fallen princess. Although she’s the damsel, she has the power of magic hidden from others, sent for the Unities, with upgrades galore. John is an expert alchemist, raised in a magical realm that never accepted him…except one person. What’s Yoshi’s motive? Who knows!
Villains: Slane 🔷 Lynx 🩷 Discord ☘️
Supporting: Yoshi 🩷 John 🩵 The Fallen Princess 💘
Thank you so much for the support for everything I post, it makes me more motivated when I see the love for a project I’ve been dying to create for a larger audience. I’ll continue to post any new drawings I create for my senior thesis, so watch out for some more amazing content from this project! And possibly, I might continue to revamp my project from where I left off. Who knows!
Thank you for the support! 💕🥰
As someone who has been catching up on comics. I noticed a pattern with Nightwing. Every time the author changes the supporting cast gets dumped. We had the run offs and greyer Blockbuster. They don’t exist by the Ric arc even though they could be people to step up in Nightwing’s absence or grab power. Ric arc had a cast of cops and friends and Bea. Never heard from the cops again despite them being potential informants. The difference with Tom Taylor is that he’s the only one who uses old characters but he mutates them. Not sure if that’s worse but I hate the cast dumping. I fully expect never to see Bea, and the sister again. If the Sister stays someone will kills her off. Huh Taylor had a small supporting cast compared to others.
Yeah that's been a reoccurring problem with Nightwing and is one of the complaints fans have about it.
OH SHIT. Hold on. I'm sorry but this conversation just triggered something in my brain. So Guppy was in prison, right? Omg was he in the prison that Heartless liberated? Is Guppy free??
Wait let me double check... Heartless liberated Bludhaven Private Prison... and Guppy went to Bludhaven Maximum Security Prison... ugh. Damn. Different prisons.
Anyway, if they had kept Bea's normal civilian origin, I would've loved her as an informant of sorts for Nightwing since she could overhear convos at the bar and also see who certain individuals came in with. So yeah it would suck to see Bea just disappear after this, but at the same time, I don't know if I vibe with her sticking around as a pirate queen.
Melinda on the other hand, she can go. TT literally just set her up as the mayor as a way to make it easy for Dick to take down the baddies of the city. That's her purpose. Just easy gateway/easy access to certain information and such. TT hasn't bothered doing anything else with her, really. The sibling thing was just to give Dick an easy way to befriend the mayor. That's it.
But yeah, it'll be interesting to see which cast members the next writer pulls. Or who knows, maybe they'll rely more heavily on the Titans.
blazing blade side character cast is brainrotting me. Literally drew an entire page of Lowens during class today. my beloved fluffy-bang boy ;—; I want him in Heroes so bad
also bonus: what I think he looks like under the bangs… tooth-gap and crooked nose and squinty lil smiley eyes. I love him sm
