Ayumi flinches, shuddering under Sachiko’s sharp stare. “No, you didn’t. But I gave it to you anyway.” She grits her teeth. If this spirit wants to tussle, she’ll tussle. But… “Sorry, Sachiko. For a second there, I forgot how strong you were–… er… are.”
Ayumi looks around. The blood staining the walls does not quell her twisting stomach, and the guts splattering the floor help it even less. “Just what can you do, anyway? I know you’re an oh-so-powerful spirit, but I, um… I never figured out just how powerful you really are.”
After she has slapped her hands over her mouth, Ayumi says, “Wait… I forgot about the ‘no questions’ thing. Uh… my bad. Again.” When Sachiko calms, tension eases out of Ayumi’s shoulders. Good, she thinks. If we keep this up, I might be able to get out of here with all my limbs intact, and put her to rest for good!
Blood drips down the walls and plops onto the floor. Ayumi slowly raises her hands into the air in surrender. “Okay, okay. I’ll be nice.” She frowns. “But, um… what’s your plan? Do you wanna tear me limb from limb? Or do you wanna have a tea party? Personally, I’d be more inclined to agree to the second one.” She laughs. It’s high-pitched and nervous. “But you don’t care about what I want, do you? Yeah… so, whatever you say, captain, I’ll do.” Unless it involves my intestines being strung up from the ceiling.
“Looks like you’ve got a brain in there after all! Good... I thought you might try to be stubborn like that idiot Kishinuma and that’d make things no fun for anyone!” Sachiko chimes, sounding a bit too pleased at Ayumi’s (albeit hesitant) willingness to go along with her little games. It was certainly better than outright defiance, at any rate---- having to punish the girl right off the bat would just be depressing. For Ayumi, anyways.
Sachiko? She’d just end up bored again.
“Speaking of fun... as cool as it’d be to tear you apart, that’d make all of this end way too fast! Heehee~ But hey, we can make a deal, huh? If you can keep me from getting bored aaaaaall day, I’ll send you back to your dumb, boring place in one whole piece. But if you don’t.... well, let’s not focus on that, huh~?”
Judging by her grin? It was probably best left there.
“Tea parties are stupid though--- I’m not a little baby. If you wanna keep me happy, you’re gonna have to try harder than that y’know. You do have better ideas, don’t you?”
