 i have this love / hate relationship with pope’s overall arc through the seasons.  my biggest issue being that he dies without any real redemption, which is very realistic but has no cinematic fulfillment.  his anger is pretty justified.  his anger is understandable.  has been since his first appearance even if his approach to things is questionable.
