ADRENALINE HAS YET TO LEAVE HER SYSTEM, the spike safe but the job is not finished yet. The scratchy voice filters through Sage’s earpiece & confirms the operation to be concluded.Tapping the device and acknowledging the message, the healer notes the usually stealthy marksman behind her - BOTH AGENTS DROPPING THEIR GUARD AROUND THE OTHER as Sage concludes her brief report to headquarters when Sova’s hands find a place of rest on her body, instruments of battle but a moment prior.
Her comparatively slender hand reaches for those digits upon her abdomen & curls around the back of his palm, fingers intertwining with Sova’s. HOW MANY BULLETS HAVE THEY BOTH FIRED? The weight rests heavily upon the healer’s shoulders as she closes her eyes and sighs - SHE DOES NOT ACHE AS MUCH AS SHE USED TO AFTER EACH BATTLE, physically and emotionally. The comfort brought by Sova pressing snugly against her back soothes the turbulent waves of doubt that crash against her determination.
Warmth rushes through her as he murmurs those words, the effect of a compliment coming from the older agent never quite losing its potency. Sage smiles, pushing lips into a slight crescent. ❛ SO ARE YOU, ❜ murmuring her affirmation as the battle - worn couple stands in the aftermath, blocked from sight by shade. Twisting her torso, she lifts herself up with the tips of her toes & her eyes beckon another kiss, this time upon her lips instead.

Before I get into any details, I want to say that it has been so much fun being able to write for Miss Fortune for three years. For the first time in a long while, I’ve had fun writing for one muse and I’m happy I was able to find that in Sarah. She helped me rekindle some friendships, make new friendships, and show me that there has been someone in my life that I’ve had chemistry with for the five years of knowing him. sage possesses a fairly stylized script that’s neat & consistent but can be difficult to read at times if she is in a rush. being very much accustomed to technology, she’s a fast typist and her writing is... largely meant for her own eyes. she is the type to input a memo on her mobile device in lieu of penning it in a notebook. however, she does keep a personal diary which she updates somewhat frequently - she gets practice at handwriting from writing in that.
Here are some few reasons ( in no particular order ) why Sage is gf / wife material & why you should definitely consider her for your muse:
- Enjoys walks in nature & knows scenic date spots! Rock - climbing, anyone? Or hiking! If active pursuits aren’t your cup of tea, picnics & stargazing are also on the table! she enjoys packing cute picnic baskets loaded with delicious homemade food and fresh fruits.
- Speaking of... sage is a great cook! Say goodbye to any poor eating habits of your muse - Healthy meals all the way! Of course she has her preferences in terms of what she likes to cook but if your muse likes a specific dish, she’ll try her best to learn it.
- Knows when you’re feeling down! depending on what you need, she can encourage you gently or give you a scolding to get your shit together!
- Gives great massages! this girl has magical hands ( no, really! ) and can soothe physical pain whilst she talks you through any mental stresses. Her hands are almost always warm too.
- Strong gf! She can probably carry you without breaking a sweat. Passed out at your desk after being hard at work or drank yourself incoherent? She’ll carry you to the bed & tuck you in!
- Honestly... she’s absolutely gorgeous & takes good care of herself. Exercises regularly and wears light makeup. She definitely smells nice too - Usually no perfume but the scent of clean clothes and faint floral shampoo goes a long way ~
- As per her natural disposition towards being a leader & an excellent mediator, she takes fascination in her partner’s capabilities and interests. The power of fellow radiants is often of great interest to her but magical or not, Sage pays attention to her partner. Listening to those around her is a strong suit of hers!

until info is released by riot, this is all just speculation! that being said, these are my thoughts on how sage’s magic works. what we do know of the canon is that in the future, people all over the world gained magical abilities following an event known as first light & these people are known as radiants. side note, if you’re interested in finding out a bit more about this, click here. what we currently have is super limited so i’ll be following this interpretation henceforth ( until like all of this inevitably becomes meaningless when we receive actual information from riot yay ).
sage’s powers are different in comparison to the elemental powers we see from her fellow agents, such as jett’s air manipulation and phoenix’s pyromancing. initially, what i had thought of was some variant of nature and earth bending - it’d explain her barrier orb and slow orb if she was manipulating the groud. however, her healing and resurrecting abilities would be harder to explain. so what i’ve ended up with after thinking on it - mostly thanks to kirin’s big brain - is that her magic is based on the ancient chinese idea of qi, an energy which fills all parts of the universe. it’s a subject which has been studied over thousands of years & encompasses far more than what i can explain in a post so i’ll try to summarise it.
it is believed that there are three types of qi; heaven, earth and human qi. celestial bodies, wind, rain & the sky are some of the things said to possess heaven qi. heaven qi is absorbed by & influences earth qi and can be found in plants, rivers, mountains, and every living being. natural disasters are believed to be the result of heaven and earth qi being unbalanced. human qi is a part of both heaven and earth qi & it is also affected by both of these forces. original qi is what we are born with and acquired qi is what we absorb from heaven and earth qi; these two combines to form human qi. according to this philosophy, humans should do their best to fit into the naturally balanced cycle of heaven and earth qi. this practice is known as qigong.
so how does all that tie into sage’s magic? my theory is that the first light allows her to be very in tune with these forces and adds a little more than what’s humanly possible. by training her control over qi, sage can manipulate heaven and earth qi in bursts - heaven qi is what gives her the ability to heal & resurrect whilst earth qi is what she uses to manipulate the terrain. the orbs we see in game are a manifestation of her qi and their aquamarine/cyan colour of the ground she manipulates is a result of her magic. honestly quite like this interpretation because it’s a combination of magic and her own prowess - if she didn’t train herself, she wouldn’t even have access to this magic.
of course, her powers can simply be explained away with ‘it’s magic’ but i’m a sucker for incorporating chinese culture into characters & this is a perfect opportunity to do so.

HISSING AS SHE COLLAPSES TO THE GROUND, she braces herself against the concrete - remaining alert with her rifle in hand - as her teammates enter the fray to take out one opponent, the others scattering. ❛ Yeah, I’ll be fine. Just keep moving - I won’t be long! ❜ Letting go of her weapon as the coast is clear, Sage’s hand reaches swiftly for the wound & she concentrated, CALMING HER MIND AS BEST AS SHE COULD as she focuses on healing herself.
Keen hues gaze searchingly at Lux, the younger mage not quite comforted by those words. THERE’S A WEARINESS ABOUT THE USUALLY - CHIPPER NOBLEWOMAN, a touch of untold pain in her mind that cannot be alleviated by any healing magics Sage possesses. If she were more familiar with the blonde, she’d most likely be able to puzzle out THE SOURCE OF HER MENTAL DESPONDENCE. She’s been travelling with the group for only a little past a week - Her knack for sensing pain only extends so far. ❛ I won’t pry, ❜ she responds reassuringly, reaching out and squeezing Luxanna’s hand. ❛ All I’m offering is my company whenever you’d like it. ❜

THERE IS A CHANCE HE MAY DIE HERE, NOT by the hand of an enemy assassin or stray bullet, but by the heat pounding through his veins, by the savored intonation of that sweet, sweet voice. He tries to be gentle; he always tries. She’s too beautiful to desecrate in the way he’s fond off, too angelic to taint with dark desire and unsatisfied need. But when she speaks to him like that, presses against him like that… He is unable to deny her.
Deft fingertips grip the side of her cheeks in one hand, the side of his own countenance pressed to hers, so that lips may seek out a delicate ear. His bowed over her body slightly, chest to back, and that remaining free arm is braced about her waist to keep them pressed. They are joined at the core, Sova hilted deep within wet warmth and the pistoning of his hips slow and measured. It’s an exercise of the deepest parts of his patience, a call for him to treat her gently, like the angel she is but… again, that pleading. He cannot help but shudder in response, cannot help the way a strong arm tightens around her, breathing coming out a low hiss in her ear, and he obeys.
Rough hands grip Sage’s own, raising them to brace her arms against the wall before them. His hand at her face drops free, but his lips remain, sucking lightly at her earlobe, her jaw, while digits coil around slim hips, and he grows savage in response. Gone is the gentle restraint that he had previously maintained, replace entirely by the beast within, the one that ravaged the woman against him, hips ruthless in their thrusts and his nails digging crescent shaped bruises against pale flesh. He is unforgiving, unrelenting, the pace not slowing, not at all gentle. Gods above, she felt amazing, and he cannot help but growl almost possessively, a particularly brutal thrust earning her a soft moan of pleasure, as teeth sunk into her nape before husky tones found her ear. A tongue drags along the outer shell, and he chuckles, low and deep within his chest, as the shift from gentle and charming to lustful and rough is completed in his mind.
“ Is this what you want, Ангел? ” And a hand dips southwards, betwixt her thighs to seek the bud of pleasure with ruthless precision. “ Dirty girl, I will give you what you need. ”
In battle, SOVA IS MORE FORCE OF NATURE THAN MAN - all impossibly sharp senses & inhuman reaction timing. In moments of private intimacy, however, he’s vulnerable. That ruggedly - charming demeanor which once seemed so effortless drops away into the man she’s grown to love all the more. As she has matured, Sage has learnt that her heart’s deepest desire is to love the truest version of someone, to know one - hundred percent of them & to embrace every side of their nature. THAT’S WHAT DROVE HER LUSTFUL PLEADING, saying the words she hoped he wouldn’t be able to resist.
And it paid off, didn’t it? The sheets underneath will SURELY BE STAINED WITH THE EVIDENCE OF THEIR YEARNING as Sova’s hips meet her rear in a hail of gunfire, his assault kicking up a notch in response to her expression of consent to be as greedy as he wishes to be. IT IS AS IF HE HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY LUST ITSELF as he wraps an arm around her frame, truly revealing just how much he desires to ravage & to consume her - SHE PRESENTS HERSELF UP FOR THE TAKING. Pressed down into the sheets with her hands held fast against the wall, Sage arches her back into his sharp thrusts with a wanton libido, GASPING AS NAILS DIG HARSHLY INTO HER SKIN - painting depictions of fervid passion upon the canvas that is her body.
As with everything else Sage does, she gives it her all - she surrenders herself completely. After all, it’s the rightful prize of such a dedicated & focused hunter. THE PREY TREMBLES IN THE CLUTCHES OF A WOLF as the blond growls next to her ear as he pistons himself deep into her core, Sage inhaling sharply & following such with moaning his name in sweet reply. If she could see his eyes, she’s certain she’d find that same fire burning within those hues as when a victory is in his grasp - THAT RAW, UNFILTERED DRIVE TO WIN, TO CONQUER, TO RULE - it has won her over.
Whining in pleasure, the sensitive wetness upon her ear is brushed by low intonations & warm exhalations. ❛ God - YES, PLEASE, ❜ her reply melts away into another moan as Sova’s digits find their mark within her heat, biting her lip in reaction to depraved words coming from her usually measured & restrained lover, her core tightening with arousal. ❛ I’ve… WANTED THIS FOR SO LONG, it feels s - so good... ❜ The admission pours out of her, desires flowing & overflowing for Sova.
