Gender nonconforming’s your Ghost.

I think all throughout their childhood Ghost never really felt like a boy, never really had a connection to gender in general, but they sure wasn’t going to look to deeply into that let alone tell anyone while in their fathers house. Going into the military immediately after getting out of the house probably didn’t help with any self discovery either.

It probably wasn’t until after Roba and actually getting some form of therapy (bro 100% got some kind of mental health help after Roba lets be real.) that they finally started looking inward at all these feelings.

The first person they come out to is Price. All I’m imagining the interaction being is.

Ghost randomly in a bar: I’m not a man.

Price: …are you a women?

Ghost: no.

Price: are you a third option I need to research?

Ghost: probably.

I don’t think ghost really has something they label themselves as, they’re just Ghost. They don’t necessarily care what pronouns people use (fully aware most people who don’t know them see them as a man.) they don’t mind he/him or she/her, or any pronouns someone uses for them, but mostly they prefer gender neutral terms in reference to them. They’re ok with gendered terms when they know they mean well. (Like Price’s “son”’s)

When Ghost and Soap start to date Johnny introduces Ghost to everyone as his partner and even gives his family a run down of Ghost’s preferred pronouns (with their permission of course.) Johnny has even gotten into the habit of calling Ghost “the wife.” As a joke, but Ghost doesn’t really mind it.

Now Ghost mainly goes by Ghost, both off and on the field because it’s just easier. Sure they still use their given name and they don’t really have anything against it so they see no point in changing it, even if everyone in their life calls them Ghost.

When they eventually retire with Johnny is when they really start experimenting with how they want to look. They pick up a more androgynous style and maybe get a few more tattoos. (maybe a black out over their cringe fest of a sleeve)

Overall I just want Ghost to experience some trans joy.
