We showed the kids at work Danny Phantom last week in class and they LOVED it. I was so glad they were all into it! They need to see real good cartoons and not the crap they show on TV now -_-. Seriously 90s best cartoons and shows ever.

So I decided to watch Danny Phantom from Season 1 Episode 1 because I realized I never even watched the ending of it and that made me sad. Watching it again I love it just as much as I did 10 years ago :’) reminiscing about the past and my childhood. Good times….but yeah I am so excited to watch the episodes xD feel like a kid again

P.S. I shipped Danny and Sam before I even knew what pairing were. I just liked them together lol haha

I never understood why pulling Danny Phantom out of Danny Fenton would help anything in TUE. It wasn’t Phantom’s fault the explosion happened so removing Phantom wouldn’t have helped Fenton at all. Not to mention it wouldn’t be any means bring Fenton’s family back.

And what was Phantom supposed to do with his life after losing his human half? Just fly back to Amity Park and keep being a hero? Why would he care about humans? He’s not one of them anymore.

I’m thinking about this too much.

It wasn’t a means of trying to get rid the ultimate reason for his friend’s and family’s death. Essentially, what I got from the episode, Danny was going to live on by being Phantom. By having Vlad get rid of his human emotions, which he just thought consisted of the pain, the guilt, and just the overall misery of living past the death of everyone that he knew cared about him… he just wanted it to go away.

I’m guess that Danny would assume life would be normal again, that the hurt would go away. He would still be with Vlad (I mean, how was he to go back to Amity Park, there’s nothing left for him there), but just… it would be as normal as it could be.

He probably didn’t realize that with ghost mechanics, they cling on to whatever emotion was the strongest when they form, if they form. And since Danny’s was pain, that’s what Phantom turned out to be - pain. No ghost is just going to wallow in self misery, so Phantom did the one thing he knew at that point he should do: cause as much pain to the world so they knew how he felt. This would go on for so long that he would finally achieve this, but would refuse to just pass on - instead becoming the villain everyone saw him to be. But, there are so many headcanons describing Dan’s reason for existence and just why the events or emotions that played into his creation, that it’s ultimately up to you to think up of or decide.

Just know this, it’s canon that Danny wanted to get rid of his emotions. In doing so, he himself would have to become a ghost, which undeniably, was Phantom.

It’s probably the same reason why human Danny ultimately was killed. He was only a shell of emotions, with no more purpose whatsoever. Like a snake skin, Danny was hoping to get rid of all the emotional baggage that came with being Danny Fenton. And with turning into Dan, looking at his human counterpart, just seeing the horror and pain reflecting back at him twicefold, he killed him. And it felt good getting rid of his original burden.

Maybe it’s because of the arch in my eyebrows or the natural droop in my eyelids, but more than once i’ve gotten into beef with other guys because of my face.
