TERFs claiming the title of “transmedicalist” are not real transmedicalists.
They are transphobes. And they do not stand for what we stand for.
I mean, do you ever think of why they claim that title? Why TERFs agree with the words and ideas you promote? No TERFs are “tucutes”.
They don’t agree with the ideas we promote, they act as if we promote THEIR ideas, when in reality that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Again, have you ever thought why they think you promote their ideas? TERFs don't think we promote theirs.
Maybe we should stop calling people slurs and claiming it’s “empowering”.
Maybe you should understand why people use the word queer
I don’t care. Yeah queer is an inclusive term and all. But I’m never going to use a word that a lot of people are uncomfortable with and can even be a trauma trigger for some to describe the whole community. You might be comfortable with it but not everyone is, and you need to respect that. I don’t care if people want to use the word for themselves, just don’t force it on other people.
Point is that it is empowering for some people, and few people are actually forcing it on people. Queer antagonism at the end of the day is conservative gatekeeping seeped its way into the LGBTQA+ community.
Maybe we should stop calling people slurs and claiming it’s “empowering”.

WOW I HATE THE WHOLE GENDER MOVEMENT. You will never be a female. You will NEVER be a lesbian. You are NOT my sister, and MOST OF ALL you will NEVER be butch. How dare you tokenize lesbian terms for your autogynephilic musings. Fuck you
Yeah he’s a straight dude. There is no such thing as a trans butch lesbian. Why are men so gross and lesbophobic?????
If you needed more proof fluffy is a terf. Also she rebloged from a terf
I’m not defending her but if she isn’t a radfem then she can’t be a terf, I think a better term would be transmisogynist terf supporter
Again yeah she’s shitty but if she claims she isn’t a radfem she can’t be a terf. Hope this wasnt rude I was trying to be polite
The kind of talk fluffy is using is TERF speak, whether or not she identified as a TERF specifically. You can’t claim to be divorced from movements you’re actively a part of and boosting voices of.
TERF isn’t an opt-in identity. It’s a descriptor for a type of “feminist” who excludes trans people, which fluffy does.

you know what gets me the most abt neo-pronouns isn’t even how it makes trans people look like a buncha kids playing make-believe or anything but that they are literally completely pointless bc the whole idea of neo-pronouns is having like “unique” pronouns that people have to remember and will likely use with you and with you only
which already exists. it’s called having a name.
That’s not the point of neo-pronouns? The point is to have pronouns that gender you correctly
yeah you’re right it’s not the point it’s just like…….. what it boils down to
like I may have described it like that in the original post (I did put it how you just said it in this reply) but the fact is that the original intention doesn’t matter as much as what it resulted in and that having pronouns that only you and like 3 other people in the world use still kinda fuck up the whole purpose of pronouns in this any language and as I said if you want something that feels right for you and just for you… that’s your name. that’s just your name.
I mean the idea that neopronouns are rare is kinda outdated. The 2015 transgender survey, which had over 6,000 respondents, had 6% of respondants using pronouns that arent he/him, she/her, or they/them. That’s over 300 people. And that number is only a sample, and has only grown. Ze/hir is a pronoun set that’s gaining popularity and is used more and more. And I know you’re probably going to say that you were referring to nounself pronouns and yeah, those are really rare. However most people who use them have other pronouns when the use of nounself pronouns is unlikely. Not to mention fae/faer is also gaining in popularity!
that’s a very enlightening answer, thank you!
personally, what I see as the problem with neopronouns is the fact that trying to insert many many new words that don’t have a real purpose for most people into a language is not what’s natural for it, but also language reflects the needs that the current society has to express the ideas that like, exist in it, so if that’s something that people largely need to express in the current society, I can see it becoming something naturally encompassed by language at some point.
I’m still very much opposed to the idea that not using someone’s obscure pronouns constitutes transphobia. it might be rude at worst, but it’s definitely not transphobia
I mean it’s exactly what you said, language evolves to fit needs. And in 50, 100, 1,000 years not all of these pronouns are going to exist in modern use. But some are.
And it being transphobia or not is less important than the action. If you actually respect a person’s pronouns, that’s what matters.

Neopronuns aren’t valid and damage the trans community. Discuss?
That kind of thinking is placing trans and gnc people’s comfort second to presentation and cis acceptance and will harm trans people more than people using neopronouns will

Whenever binary transmeds launch into a long-winded rant about how they think nbs aren’t real I just go snoozin
gays @ my school: "it's queer! we're the queer community! the acronym should be QuILTBAG!! Queer is an identity and was never a slur!"
me: yeah i'm a tranny
them: I can't believe what you just SAID you DISGUSTING BIGOT thats A FUCKIGN S L U R!!!!! I am H,AVINNG A PANI,,C ATTACKSFBJHAVJGVHAGHSCDAS
It's almost like one is a slur that's been widely reclaimed and the other is still mainly used as a slur!
Anyway, if you only have gender euphoria, you’re about as valid as a cross dresser or a drag queen.
Crossdressers and drag queens are valid?
Yup! But they’re not trans.
I mean not really, there are a lot of trans drag queens
Also correct, but nondysphoric people are not trans!
You're really reaching
Unpopular opinion
Neopronouns aren’t harmful. It harms no one to respect someone’s pronouns, no matter how much you want to mock them. I don’t care if they’re a mouthful, if someone goes by ey/eyr pronouns, then use those. If someone uses nounself pronouns, use those. This also goes for it/its pronouns and emojiself pronouns.
People that use neopronouns aren’t the problem, transphobes are. Call people what they want to be called. It’s not hard.
