i know its been a hot minute since the last TES post, but I love the dynamic between all four of them, and I kinda wanna see how they behave 1-on-1 that isn't just the two relationships
first of all I'm SO glad you asked this because these four are essentially a functional DnD party as a whole hakgjndfgh
second of all, me yapping:
A bit of a tense duo, BUT I think they'd work pretty well in a cooperative fight if they set aside their annoyances and differences. Highly recommend to not leave them alone without any supervision from either Dips or Ves. Best case scenario, they just ignore each other. Worst case, they'd be at each other's throats, blood on both their hands.
One-sided beef with a mix of imbalance when it comes to fighting styles. Teldryn would rather not deal with Ves most of the time. Too suspicious, too nonchalant. There is no plausible explanation why a 'humble bard' knows too much magic and has a mana pool and skills high enough to impress even a Telvanni wizard.
Vessali on the other hand finds it amusing that he can piss off Teldryn just by coughing wrong. Zero reason for the dunmer to be on edge but he respects the no-bullshit treatment.
Not as a tense of a duo compared to the previous one, but can technically be unstoppable if they end up having to work together.
A decent duo! Dips has full trust towards Ves since the khajiit is also an acting steward to his home. Ves' skill in combat also puts Dippy at ease when he has to leave Blaise and Sofie for longer periods of time. And whenever Ves is unavailable for some reason, he always has equally trustworthy contacts to watch over Dips' home. (I don't think Dippy will ever realize that the kids and his entire property are pretty much under blanket protection of the Dark Brotherhood. At least not for now.)
Vessali on the other hand is driven both by purpose and curiosity. Purpose for his master, as he archives the present flow of the world to be later written and stored in Apocrypha. Curiosity for himself, as he has seen countless of heroes before, yet Dippy seems to be constantly writing and rewriting his own fate. Either it's by the sheer stupidity or willpower, Ves just watches, eager to see how everything actually unfolds.
Theoretically the best duo to pair up in a fight or some sort of heist. With Dippy as the brawn and Cicero as the stealth killer/pathfinder, I think they can clear an enemy-riddled area pretty easily without raising alarm.
Dippy also just gets along with Cicero fairly well. He interprets the jester's mumbling and instability as general anxiety and thinks that maybe the guy just needs some other person to talk to.
Cicero trusts who the Listener trusts, and Dippy has been nothing but actually genuine that it sometimes surprises the jester. He does think that Dips is a bit of a bumbling brute sometimes, so he doesn't mind helping around and being the precise finesse that the Argonian can't execute himself.
