gideon: i hate harrow because she doesn’t treat me like a human being
gideon when harrow tries to treat her like a human being: woah woah woah, stop this! you’re going to make the readers think we’re gay for each other. do you have brain damage.
Tabletop RPG where taking damage in combat is represented by physically setting the target's character sheet on fire. Different damage types specify different parts of the sheet where the fire must be set (e.g., top-right corner, etc.), and the amount of damage is the number of seconds the player has to wait before stamping it out. Any physically destroyed traits are disabled until they fill out a new sheet.
gideon: camilla understands me because her necromancer is overbearing too
camilla: i owe palamedes five bucks, these bitches ARE in love
Rusty Nail is so patient with little kids
I still remember a million years ago when this dog was the size of a laptop
alright I’m sorry, I have beef with Rusty Nail.
she slept in my room last night (because I am an exciting visitor), but around 2am she decided she wanted to leave. and I guess some dogs don’t have good night vision? so she just stood in front of the open door whimpering and soft barking and pawing at the ground like a horse until I got up and walked in and out of the room repeatedly to demonstrate the openness of the door
hey did I ever post the best business card I’ve ever been given by a customer?
a woman wanted me to let her know if I had a particular item in storage, and she went to get a card out of her purse and went ‘oh no. I’m out of my work cards, I’m so sorry about this’ and handed me this:
apparently her husband made them for her as a joke but then she just had like 300 of them so they’re her backups when she runs out of her real business cards.

Still never gonna be over the fact that it took Maes Hughes one night to figure out the truth about Amestris when it took the rest of the cast half the series
“The Shonen Protagonist joins The Organization” is such a cheap and easy hack for framing a narrative because the author never has to come up with a reason why the protagonist gets involved in each arc. It’s just that The Organization has a new Mission for the protagonist every time and the protagonist gets to say, “Righteo, thanks plot for telling me what to go do.”
Which makes Fullmetal Alchemist so much funnier because Edward Elric very very much does join The Organization. He’s in fact quite famous for joining The Organization. Where The Organization is a hostile fascist dictatorship with immense military power which is good at both giving orders and punishing defectors.
And yet over the course of the series Edward is so allergic to ever being told what to do that he in fact never ever goes on an Organization-Ordered Mission. And the exactly one time The Organization DID try to tell him what to do Edward hated it so much he fucked off and impaled himself at the bottom of a mineshaft about it.
love this guy. sometimes i wonder what he was thinking during those years.
Weeds' sister sent her this video and said "Colton would have LOVED this."
And he would have!

Using Pokémon to get people into archaeology and museums? Check.
When you meet Edward Elric he gives off the impression that he's the short-tempered hot-headed "violence is the answer to all life's questions" kind of protagonist, and it's in fact incredible character craft that he's actually the character who ends the series with a negative-3 kill count.
people killed: 0
direct orders of "you really really need to kill this guy" ignored: 1
ongoing murders being committed by Ed's own friends/colleagues that Ed got in the way of to specifically stop that murder from happening: 2
God's worst soldier Edward Elric. Showed up as the youngest member of the Amestrian army, took millions of dollars from them, never followed a single order, helped dismantle their fascist regime, left with a lower kill count than he arrived with, then fucked off to go be a house-husband. Character of all time.
