annabelle-grayson:
“Liar.” The word was drawn out by her accent as she chuckled, shaking her head at the absurdity of his comment. “No! Jesus Rhys, we saw each other six months ago. I had just been leavin’ out the part where I didn’t live in the city.” Leaning her head back against the headrest, the blonde’s eyes glancing at him through the rear view mirror. It was crazy how little the two actually knew about each other, especially since they knew each other pretty well in the biblical sense. “So you’ll be back in LA by next Monday then, yeah?” She asked with a bit of a smirk. “Well I live here so there’s that. And I own a business… and my sister is here. But you don’t care and I’m still incredibly surprised you’re here. How long was that gonna be again?”
“Everything but, darling.” Rhys laughed, shaking his head even more profusely the moment the blonde enlightened him on exactly how long it had been since they last met. “Don’t take it personal... I have a lot of things in my head.” One breath away from turning into the epitome for the mad scientist, but in the film industry, enclosed and centered solely in his work, no life until it came to light. Then again, that hadn’t stopped him before. Or them. Without even trying, whenever they happened to be in the same city, it seemed like all paths sooner or later brought them together. “If I were...” The director adds, eyes flashing from the road ahead to the rearview mirror where they meet her’s. “We only have this weekend to make up for the last six months.” But he wasn’t leaving next Monday. She also didn’t need to know that. “I didn’t say. If you know me so well, you know, that you know what I care and don’t care about, then maybe you’ll be able to figure that on your own too and answer for me. Go on.”
