post-war au where Ochako visits Himiko in prison every day and gives her her blood to drink and they talk about nothing and everything because it's hard for Hero In Training Uravity to look past a villain's crimes but it's so easy for Ochako Uraraka to fall in love with with Himiko Toga

it's so easy because Himiko is so sweet and she can be unintentionally funny sometimes and, God, she's so cute, and she always smiles at Ochako so brightly that Ochako thinks if her face was the last thing she saw before she died, she'd die happy

He's guilty about how he treated him, about how he didn't treat him, about how he keeps acting around him, about literally fucking everything that includes Izuku, but his love is the one good thing he has to offer and he wears it like a badge of honor

Vs Izuku whose feelings are the one thing he's guilty about, because how dare he think of Kacchan like that, how dare he stoop him down so low as an object of desire

the way blackwhip (which is a physical manifestation of Izuku's emotions, mind you, especially his repressed emotions) treats Katsuki/Katsuki-adjacent situations is so important

it won't touch him when dkbk are sparring, too scared of hurting him probably, and when Katsuki does get hurt it has two reactions: 1) goes berserk and is about to take everything down with him and 2) tries to help him

that second reaction is a lot more subtle but the one example I can think of right now is how after Katsuki comes back to life blackwhip carefully wraps around his broken arm

with that in mind, if Izuku hadn't lost OFA I think it'd be fun if dkbk's post-war codependency extended to blackwhip

like it would keep wrapping itself around Katsuki without Izuku's consent and it'd bring Katsuki close to him when they (rarely) separated

Izuku wasn't there the one time he really needed him so now Blackwhip is like 'okay we're never letting him out of our sight again' (though Izuku was already trying to do that anyway)

Izuku who is way too possessive over Katsuki even though he has fully deluded himself into believing his feelings for him are completely platonic and normal vs Katsuki who indulges this because he knows his feelings aren't platonic or normal and likes having Izuku's attention

post-war dkbk who are so incredibly casually domestic

aside from the borderline unhealthy codependency (refusing to separate, sleeping together because of nightmares, having near panic attacks when they don't know where the other is etc etc) they're also just very sweet with each other now that they're on good terms again because they're both just so happy about it

they walk together to class sleepily bumping on each other, they unspokenly hold hands when one of them is stressed, they get matching keychains and other little trinkets

Izuku will often carry Katsuki's stuff (because he can't use his arm and because he just wants to) and Katsuki will try to get annoyed and say he can do it himself but secretly think it's sweet

Katsuki will make Izuku eat more because he always forgets to, they have movie nights together and argue over which All Might movies are best

just little things that they don't even pay much attention to while doing them but make their chests warm when they think back on them later

post-war Katsuki and Mitsuki including Izuku in all their little mother-son bonding activities because dkbk have become so incredibly codependent that it only seems natural

so now Izuku finds himself doing face masks and watching soap operas and listening to all the gossip in the fashion industry and he would never do any of this on his own but he loves spending time with Katsuki and Mitsuki

Thinking about Izuku who is So Normal About Kacchan™ again

Izuku has always felt...strongly about Katsuki but he has fully deluded himself into thinking it's normal childhood friend behavior. Then after the war he gets ten times worse but he literally saw Katsuki die, right? So it makes sense? It's still normal?

And then there's Katsuki who also acts like it's normal because to him this has been Izuku since they first met so he fully believes he's just Like That. So he's happy enough to indulge Izuku when they're on good terms again and be like 'yeah it's totally normal dw'

Because Katsuki on the other hand can in fact admit he is insane about Izuku and actually really likes this attention so who is he to protest?

So post-war they go around holding hands and sharing armchairs and refusing to spar with others and sleeping together because of nightmares and literally never separating and to them this seems Completely Normal Friend Behavior. (I mean obviously Katsuki is very aware of his pining, but that's its own thing)

Everyone around them is mildly horrified and have no idea how treat them, especially their teachers who aren't sure if they should allow a level of codependency that isn't exactly healthy

But whenever anyone tries to express concern Izuku and Katsuki just look at them like they're fucking stupid and are all like 'wtf are you talking about??'

Post-war Katsuki and who for the first time in his life isn't afraid of his feelings anymore asking his mom how she knew she was in love with Masaru

And Mitsuki is secretly ecstatic because she has watched dkbk slowly fall in love since they were kids and now they're finally old enough to realize it and she knows Izuku is the best thing to ever happen to her son and she is just so happy to see that feeling flourish

the difference between dkbk is that when they have sex Katsuki's brain finally shuts up and allows him to just lose himself in pleasure, meanwhile Izuku's intrusive thoughts get ten times louder because wtf wtf what is he doing to him he needs to kill himself immediately he's the worst person ever

I love how the past OFA users treat the topic of Katsuki

Kudo and Diagoro (the fifth user) (the one whose quirk was black wip) have fully just accepted Izuku's insane feelings for him and treat him accordingly

Daigoro goes the technical route of recognizing how Katsuki is Izuku's Achilles' heel and famously reminds him to 'control his heart' when he's involved

Then there's Kudo who just thinks dkbk are so cute and during Izuku's vigilante arc he was like 'all he needs is Katsuki' and then when he wants to explain something to Izuku he'll make examples involving Katsuki to make it more engaging for him

Also I like to think all of them call him Kacchan because they're so used to Izuku doing it that they honestly don't remember his actual name

kacchan is literally so timid and none of u get it him yelling is just a projection of who he thinks he needs to be when hes actually deeply hurt and doesnt know how to regulate his emotions thats why izuku is the only person who gets it and izuku will always be his first hero

I sometimes feel like hori draws Bakugo very much more beautiful in deku's pov. Like he's so beautiful in lots of panels but the beauty in panels in deku's pov is very different. There's something painful about it
