Japan Expo was so much fun! I'm glad that I managed to sort out my passport in time to get go! I got to meet the artist, Kazuko Shibuya! đ I had to play a lottery game at 9am on Sunday to get my signing ticket lol đđ everybody was really nice who came running up and asked for photos <3 My four day trip of constantly walking, eating noodles and daily footbaths is now over and I'm excited to try out FFXIV once again after playing the game at the stand.

Nier Automata's 2nd Anniversary! I made this skirt a few months as one of my first attempts at creating free motion embroidery. I'm amazed my sewing machine is still intact (and not smashed up) as this project was quite ambitious for a beginner. Even though I haven't played the game, 2B's skirt design inspired me to try some upcycling projects.

Watched Battle Angel: Alita at the weekend đ The film is a wonderful and faithful adaption of the OVA/Manga which I'd recommend people to watch! The writing for the OVA is a bit clunky in itself (which kinda carries over into the film as a result) but it's decent enough for a series made in the 90's. The infamous big eye effect becomes less of a distraction once the film starts đ as there's lots of steampunk/cyborg world building throughout the film which helps to bring the characters and many villains to life đ The world building, the effects, the characters all made the film feel so good and I'd totally recommend anyone looking for something to do to watch!
