You know it's really fun when you can tell the artist just gave up when it came to the backgrounds, I did my best to make it look like they're infront of the stage seeing as they just returned from an adventure and for the last panel tried to make it look like the floor before the stage but then I realized if I did that it would just be an empty void of yellow & red with checkered flooring so I added so silly things to at least break up the place...tbh I think I prolly should've just said fuck it and just used the flooring and walls but whatever.
You also might think I forgot to add the little veins in Buzzy's wings...and you would be 1000% correct I did forget that detail! But I'm not going back to fix it :). I honestly thought that the white-out marks where kinda yuck and I was fully considering just doing it digitally but then I had a snack, came back and realized that I...kinda like it??? Like yeah it's kinda rough but idk it just feels more authentic??? Like it's not perfect and thats okay???? Idk what words I'm looking for but I do know that I do like them now!
Why'd I do this? Easy I had the thought while eating my pasta "It would be really funny if Kaufmo named his seal Doug because he felt some attachment/importance to the name but couldn't remember why" and I almost choked :). I feel like (in the confines of Honeyyy, I'm Home!) Kaufmo would be the first one to remember his human name out of all the cast, this thought came to me while re-reading Chapter 4 with Kaufmo's abstract self-portrait. When first reading I honestly thought if Kaufmo didn't abstract that would be the route his character would go.
For the scrapped scene I wanted it to be like the slideshow at the end of ep.9 Caine puts together but bc I don't know if he'll do that in this fic I scrapped it (also it was just too idk jarring??? of a change). Basically Buzzy learning that Doug was Kaufmo's actual name :D. Cause I thought that was funny :).

Hell I will give anyone who asks the lyrics if you don't want to listen to it but still PLEASE I spent 3 almost 4 whole days on this comic please just give me this one thing PLEASE) Just a cute lil' song from a cute lil' game about cute lil' puppies where nothing bad or sad happens! No siree! No sick & dying puppies in this game trust me :)!

I swear I'm working on it. I'm just having silly time before I start coloring, already made the decision to not have a very defined/detailed background so just letting you know in advance it's probably just going to be a yellow & red void with maybe some other stuff in there possibly idk I haven't thought that far yet. I have patience for alot of things but not backgrounds. unless there is reason to the background. Also I'm going to have to go over Kaufmo's mouth in some panels with white-out and draw them again bc I don't like how they turned out.
Also I should add I based Kaufmo's beak-lips on the Manga Dedede Sticker from Kirby: Planet Robobot (loosely) and Dedede (mostly) in general (especially early artworks of the King linked if you want to look):

Full Legal Name: The Beep Beep Machine (Full Illegal Name: Susanna Purrtraya Haltman named after this Kirby character) she is a menace who gives the most force-filled headbutts when she's cuddly and I love her! Here she is sitting on the comic!

I think I'll draw it's less...monstrous form later but I was just overtaken by the desire to finally draw it after like 5 years of not drawing it. Yes this is the character I was referring to in my pamprodactyl hands post.

I have finished the outline/sketch of everything I want to do for this. It probably would have been done sooner had I focused on what I said I was gonna do today, and had not given in to the urge to draw dragons the moment I woke up.
I keep wanting to draw Kaufmo's mouth like a beak...so I'm just going to say it's my re-design of Kaufmo and I gave him a beak. Boom. Done. Kaufmo's part bird now...Specifically part Harrier (look em up...especially the Genus 0v0)

Buzzy the Circus Bee belongs to: @alls-fair-in-nerdy-and-fandom who also gave me permission to name the plushies Buzzy & Kaufmo got in chapter 3, originally I was just going to go with what I had called them in my ask (being Bumblebutt Fuzzypants and Pinnieas respectively) but while I was eating dinner I thought of a name for Kaufmo's Circus Seal that almost made me choke so I'll be making a little thing for that later (trust me it is way better ;). Also I decided to make him blueish grey with blue spots). Bumblebutt Fuzzypants keeps its name.
So for now we have Bumblebutt Fuzzypants (Bumblebutt for short) and the soon to be renamed Pinnieas.
