[grilled-Yellowtail] [Fried-Tofu] [Meat and Potatoes] [tofu miso soup]
You can easily buy tofu at a supermarket, but if possible, it is best to buy tofu at a tofu specialty store. One of my favorite tofu shops has homemade tofu made by a grandfather and it’s delicious! In addition to simple tofu, Tofu shop sell various tofu-related foods such as mushrooms and fried tofu. I love my life.
As a standard staple of Japanese cuisine, when putting down a meat and a potato on a table, you should put fish in the menu. The compatibility of meat and shrimp with fish is very good.
【牛すじ煮込み】
Boiled beef stew
Please simmer the stew for a long time along side tofu (baked tofu, if possible) and konnyaku! The taste soaked in and the rice is heavenly!
【鶏とナスのみぞれ煮】【小松菜の白和え】
【Simmered chicken and eggplant】
I cooked chicken and eggplant with potato starch and fried it, but I will be healthy because I Drowned it in radish end to end! If you thicken the taste with soy sauce, you can also have a little bit heavier and savory meal.
【Cream stew】 My husband is Mexican and we love cream stew.
Curry and stew taste better if left overnight, so make sure to make it all in one giant pot.
The secret if this recipe is to prepare the soup with consomé.
Today 's dinner is sukiyaki. Japanese people eat sukiyaki on "special occasions", but since Japanese love sukiyaki, we sometimes eat it occasionally even on ordinary days like today. But beef is really expensive in japan so It is better to eat it on special occasions.
By the way, in Japan, the price of a kilo of meat goes in order of:
chicken → pork → beef, beef being the most expensive.
There are 3 key steps of making sukiyaki.
1 stir frying the meat and green onion.
2 sukiyaki sauce that can be easily bought in any Japanese store in your area or online.
3 precooking onions and other vegetables of your liking before mixing them with the meat. This step will bring out the sweetness of your vegetable. You can ether cook them in the oven or stir frying them like the meat.
Finally you will mix all of your Ingredients together. This is just the base of a sukiyaki so you can add your special touch like adding tofu or Shirataki.
【レンコンのはさみ揚げ(Renkon no hasami age)】I made this dish using the left over gyoza filling sandwiched between sliced lotus fruit. It was delicious.😆
Today I decided to surprise my special some one with a roasted pork. There is nothing better then poring all those wonderful and delectable juices that came out of that pork onto Japanese rice. 😁😆
Have you ever heard of a vegetable called Gobou? It pares nicely with just about anything and it’s healthy too! If you pare it with red chilly pepper it’s just to die for. If possible pore a little bit of Goma oil❗️
Tempura is simple to cook, the hardest part being frying. You can make it healthy and as unhealthy as you please by sourcing your ingredients, it also makes a wonderful main dish.
Many people think that it is okay if you use commercially available tempura powder, but to get the real deal lets make it ourselves. Let’s make firmly crispy tempura with flour and other readily available ingredients. Of course there are many forms of flour we will be using wheat flower for today’s recipe. Please prepare the following ingredients.
· Flour: 200 g
· Starch potato starch: 20 g
· Water: 200 cc
Egg: 1 piece
One common mistake that is commonly made is to over stir the batter. It might not look right having lumps of flour but trust me, this helps with the texture we are looking for. The main secret to getting the crisp we want is the potato starch.
