Hello! I’m Rifty/Riffs (courtesy of @/m1l0-58), Leaf, or Light! My pronouns are she/her, and I’m an artist who dabbles in writing from time to time. My Ao3 is Rifty_Doodles if you want to check some of it out ^^

My main interests are Project Hail Mary (the book and the movie) and Sanders Sides, but I also enjoy Shoot from the Hip, Good Omens, Detroit: Become Human, The Magnus Archives (currently on episode 38), outer space, The Legend of Zelda, and the Hatchetfield trilogy.
No specific DNI list, but I do block people that I don’t want on my blog.
I’m currently listening to the Magnus Archives, so there will be a bunch of posts tagged with various trigger warnings as I’m live-blogging. If there are any warnings you’d like me to tag for lmk but you have been warned.

Other stuff
My favourite side is Virgil, closely followed by Logan and Janus.
My favourite bands/musicians are Nehmasis, Taylor Swift, Finnegan Tui, AJR, Tom Cardy, The Crane Wives, The Oh Hellos and Annapantsu.
I use Procreate for digital art, and various sketchbooks (one of which used to be a planner/calender!) for traditional. My favourite art supplies are acrylic brush pens and coloured ballpoint pens.

evil evil brain snake thats a liar: Janus has taken over Rifty’s brain and Vari (@/varianwonder) has to go into her mind and save her from possession. What started out as a silly post that became a silly Janus rp that became dnd. Idk man I just work here.
The toonsquid tapes: another silly rp with @/varianwonder again where Rifty rescues vari from a personified toonsquid holding them hostage. Tw for mentions of guns, swords and injury. Very lighthearted and goofy though.
Aurora balderdash: literally just me and vari saying words that start with a and then b. No direction, just nonsense.

I love drawing eyes so I thought it would be fun to make some expressions for the sides. It kinda looks like you're standing extremely close to them while making eye contact lol

I wanted to make a Sanders Sides group photo with a less realistic art style, but im bad at clean line art, so I decided to add some more texture and experiment with colors :)
I got this idea cause when I imagine the sides in fanfics,, I keep seeing certain archetypes in my imagination so I drew some. It's been a while since I drew this and I think I would've done a few things differently now but I still wanted to share :)
"I am not a vessel for your good intent" goes hard as a line from a disabled perspective. Abled people care so much more about being their idea of a good ally than they do actually being a good ally. They shove their good intent right down your throat and then act surprised when you tell them they're suffocating you.

alright i've seen several people suggest possible names for noelle after he comes out and as one of the (self proclaimed) leading authorities in all things transmasc noelle related i decided to rank names i've seen
feel free to suggest your own ideas in the replies
nicholas - keeps the christmas name and makes sense but i see it used primarily as a deadname for transfem noelle so it's hard for me to like it because of that (4/10)
noel/noël - okay we can try a little harder than this come on y'all (2/10)
noah - that's my son right there!! admittedly not super creative but i like that it's close to noelle and has religious connotations but isn't overtly christmassy to keep a little bit of distance (too biased to rate objectively)
klaus - "no little deer boy don't proceed" "oh mein gott zees is ein lake full of blüntsmoken!" (6/10)
chester - i doubt anyone would seriously name themselves chester no offense but admittedly it is pretty funny (6/10)
kris - the thought of him also choosing the name kris because of kris kringle leaving kris to be like "dude are you fucking kidding me" is fucking hilarious i'm not even gonna lie (7/10)
elliot - really like this one because it allows him to still be elly to dess and that's sweet also it's the name of the deer from open season lmao (8/10)
winter - it's like fine i guess? nothing wrong with it but feels kind of generic to me idk (5/10)
felix - like feliz navidad! a little bit of a stretch but it's cute i like it (7/10)
august - rebelling against the christmas tradition by choosing a summery name while also picking the name of a month to match with his sister is really really good love this one honestly (9/10)
cole - still choosing a name that rebels against his mom but being too much of a dork to not pick something christmas related fits him SO well i'm honestly lowkey mad i didn't think of this myself because it's kind of perfect (10/10)
jesús - i mean i fucking guess man he was even in a crucifix pose at one point but the thought of someone naming themselves after jesus feels weird lmao (5/10)
angel - this is what people mean when they theorize "noelle is the angel" right? i guess this would be the ACTUAL equivalent to naming yourself after jesus in the deltarune universe but i still like it better (6/10)
cuthbert - okay i am sorry to whoever it was that suggested this but WHAT THE HELL KIND OF NAME IS CUTHBERT????? (-100/10)
alright I'm almost finished Project Hail Mary, and I have to say, I don't get why people are shipping the guy with Markiplier when he's already in a perfectly healthy queer-platonic relationship with the alien spider made of rocks
